  1. Those Wiki factory reset directions requires connection to the 172.16.42.1:1471 interface which is precisely the problem. I'll give this a go again tomorrow and try to manually reflash in Kali. xrad, the connection was with the wireless connection the pineapple was giving off through the wifi, not the web ui. It still fails to go to the page and has yet to ask for the default username/password.
  2. I can connect but it's unsecured, there was never a password setup step.
  3. Yes, I can connect to the Pineapples wifi with a phone. One possibility could be that some error occurred while flashing. It might not have been connected to the Ethernet while flashing, would that cause a problem. What's the protocol for a reflash?
  4. Okay, just tried that without success. Those configs where what I first tried before trying to set them to default. Reverting to the custom specs after a reboot + cache wipe still results in the same timeout errors on Firefox and "Oops!" error message on Chrome. Is this not a server issue for others? https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/31579-unable-to-connect-to-172164211471/
  5. Yes I'm connected with the Ethernet. I've gone through everything in that video up to the 3 min mark when it is unable to connect. I'm pretty sure there is no scripting issues, I tried it on a fresh install of Chrome.
  6. Yes, that was a typo, just fixed it. I have been using the correct address prior.
  7. Is 172.16.42.1:1471 down for everybody or just new users? Two days after setting up the new Pineapple to the specs the manual specified, it still will not connecting to the interface. I am fairly certain now that it is a problem with the server since others seem to be having the same issue connecting to it.
  8. I haven't tried it on Kali yet, it looks like it's more of a server issue than OS. Surprised there aren't more posts about it, there aren't any older ones that address this that I can see. Ping works fine for me as well.
  9. I am having the same problem connecting to the interface on 172.16.42.1:1471 after setup. https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/31579-unable-to-connect-to-172164211471/ I'll check back to see you if got an answer, good luck.
  10. Yes it connects to 172.16.42.1 through ping. I can't connect to the wifi interface, if you mean the one that's suppose to appear after signing in to 172.16.42.1:1741 in a browser. Just a update: The amber "Searching for upgrade files." indicator has started. Would flashing again from a downloaded link, not from the 2G SD card, fix a bug?
  11. I have just gone through the setup for a new Pineapple, the flash went smoothly and I'm able to ping it, but it is unable to connect to the 172.16.42.1:1471 server. I've tried configuring everything manually as outlined in the manual as well as trying to set it to automatic ip designation. I have tried it on two machines running windows 7 and 8. A few sites that check if webpage are up say that the page is down. Firefox says: The connection has timed out The server at 172.16.42.1 is taking too long to respond" or "Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 172.16.42.1:1471". Chromes response: "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 172.16.42.1:1741". Could it be a issue with the server?
