NEW* Hacker Movie ALGORITHM Streaming right now !
phubar replied to Skorpinok Rover's topic in Everything Else
Thanks for posting this as I hadn't heard of Algorithm or Reboot. Of course "The Conversation" (1974) and "Three Days of the Condor" (1975) leading up to "War Games" and "Sneakers" might be telling my age... -
To test the basic functionality of what I believe you are looking for in terms of basic password sniffing via ssl, get the Pineapple running with karma, sslstrip and internet connectivity. Use a wireless device to test karma (connectivity). Once successful, use a browser to log into a site via https and watch the sslstrip logs. There is one basic use case you can use to test a simple set up. good luck ~phu edit: this probably belongs in the MKV thread.

If you have a phone...you can most likely put the micro SD card in it. It may be a bit of a pain to go though the unbricking process, but it is a worth while exercise if it gets you up and running within 30 minutes rather than wait for reshipping. Good luck.

Thanks Seb - this was the one I brought up yesterday on IRC. Resolved.

If you aren't getting any lights at all upon plugging it in I would recommend contacting the Hak shop immediately for a possible replacement.
-
I used my Android phone to format and copy the files over.
-
Odd, i haven't experienced that (not much help there - sorry). Out of curiosity have you tried formatting in another device like phone or some other device with Micro SD?
-
I had a bad SD card and and had bricked my Pineapple. I had to reflash my MKV via these instructions: https://wifipineapple.com/?flashing . I formatted the SD Card to FAT, placed the extracted downloaded ZIP SD card files into the root of the SD Card from the instructions at the bottom for Unbricking a bricked MKV. I hope that helps.

Barry - For Shmoocon any advice for getting tickets next year? Start hitting F5 now? :) After seeing some of the interviews and postings I think this a must. -

Owned My Neighborhood & android app ?...
phubar replied to JackChitt's topic in WiFi Pineapple Mark V
Could you expand on the type/brand of 24dbi grid antenna and amp you have? Been looking at purchasing and would appreciate any input. Cheers, ~phu -
I had the same or a similar issue. Infusions couldn't be consistently installed/accessed on the SD Card (sometimes it would mount, sometimes it wouldn't). I kept tryihng to format the SD card that came with the Pineapple but it failed. I ultimately replaced the bad SD card with a newly formatted card and re-flashed. Worked fine after the replacement. Good luck.

2014 Conferences - what are you looking forward to?
phubar replied to phubar's topic in Everything Else
Yes, Shmoocon is coming right up. I would love to attend but the demand for tickets (selling out in < 20 seconds on sell dates), the time of year (January is always challenging workwise for conflicts), and also it is on the East Coast (I'm typically onthe West) makes it tough. -
Hi all, New here and just ordered a Pineapple Mark V for some pen testing. Following as others have done to give a bit of background: Favourite OS: Kali Nationality: US Accent: None! Favourite book: Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit (Bukowski) Favourite movie: Brazil Other hobbies: Soccer(football) Special skills: Open Group Master Certified IT Architect Occupation: Architect Cheers, ~phu

Thanks for the reply - I'm looking at cons beyond blackhat and def con - DerbyCon looks like a great suggestion. -
I work in IT and am typically sponsored to go to a limited number conferences. My "techlust" has been rejuvenated recently by sites like Hak5 (Thank you!) and I'd like to know what conferences this community is looking forward to in 2014? Cheers, ~phu
