  1. What kind of GPS do you guys have? My Kismet didn't see mine without gpsd. I have an older Holux GR-213.
  2. Hey, I'm trying to get my GPS going with Kismet too. I can't seem to get gpsd to work though. Did you have to do anything special, or launch it with any specific hooks? The same gps works on my laptop running Kali, so I don't know what I'm missing. It seems to have installed right, but I can't get anything out of it: root@Pineapple:~# dmesg |grep 2303 [ 36.390000] USB Serial support registered for pl2303 [ 36.390000] pl2303 1-1.2:1.0: pl2303 converter detected [ 36.400000] usb 1-1.2: pl2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0 [ 36.400000] usbcore: registered new interface driver pl2303 [ 36.410000] pl2303: Prolific PL2303 USB to serial adaptor driver Also, if you want your Kismet to do channel hopping, you have to put your device into monitor mode yourself for it to work: ifconfig wlan1 down iwconfig wlan1 mode monitor kismet_drone ...Kinda working. gpsd -b /dev/ttyUSB0
  3. Hey, I just got my first pineapple, a shiny new Mark 5. I have a USB GPS that I was hoping I could plug in and use with Kismet, but I can't seem to get it going. I am completely new to the world of pineapples and I've never used OpenWRT either, so I don't know how to go about finding kernel modules, or if its even possible (or if that is even what I need to do...). I tried searching opkg for kmod-usb-serial-pl2303, but I don't think the package exists in the repository. There was a similar situation ( https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/28782-usb-gps-pl2303/ ) with a person with a Mark IV, but as it is different firmware I didn't want to try the module attached. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for your help.
