I am also curious to know if anyone has gotten this to work fully.
-
Thank you.. that clears things up :)

I suspected that is what this is trying to accomplish. Although I've read several times that you cannot SSH into the Ethernet side without reverse SSH first. Can you SSH directly this way?
I'm just trying to connect the dots. Thanks.

It is particulary useful when used in conjuction with UPnP_Portfwd to access the LAN Turtle directly from the outside.
Can anyone give an example of this please?

I figured it out. When I initially setup the user turtle as a vpn clent, I never selected autologin. I then downlowded the ovpn file. Shortly after I checked the autoligin box and didn't realize the format of the ovpn file changed. I downloaded a fresh copy of the ovpn file and uploaded it. All works now. I suppose that the turtle was connecting to a login prompt rather than auto login. It never made the full connection but reported back that it connected. Just thought I'd share so that it may help someone else.

So this is setup as one or the other, not both at the same time?
I still need to work on this more but the admin panel shows 0 connections even though the lan turtle seems to connect.

Sorry for being a pain. I can't seem to find the answer.
After starting the openvpn module I seem to lose SSH through the VPS to the Lan Turtle. I get the connection refused error. As soon as I turn off open vpn (SSH through USB), I can SSH again through the VPS to the Lan Turtle.
I'm trying to get openvpn working correctly and that may be causing my issue since I cant seem to get openvpn right either :(
Also, can someone point me to instructions on converting .ovpn to .conf?

Perhaps the new one shouldn't have any wifi built in at all. Just 2 slots to fit these:
It would make it so easy to customise.

That's it!!Found the fix for /etc/turtle/modules/nmap-scan : a default putty window is 80x24 which requires the dialog --dselect option to use a height of 14 or less (not 18). The dialog program errors off if it can't create the window (tried -1 but it doesn't work). Height and width are at the end of line 162 (and you can delete the second --title too).
Neither the nmap-scan profile nor the log file UI screens will show you your previously selected and saved values: dialog --dselect doesn't take a default value, and dialog --radiolist needs a bunch more fancy shell script work.

The pineapple's default lease time is 12h. If you wish to change this, simply edit the option in /etc/config/dhcp
Best regards,
Sebkinne
Thanks for the fish!!

What is the default DHCP lease time of the pineapple? Is it changeable?

Corrected first post.
My issue was that I was on an older firmware, I upgraded to 2.4 and all lives happily on the pineapple. Thanks for the etiquette lesson everyone!

Got it!! ;)

Is it really that fun if you are going to tell someone you're about to rick roll them? ;)

I'm going on vacation soon. I won't be near any free wifi for a while. Is there a way that I can save all of the infusions to my hard drive and manually load them if I wanted to mess around with
peoplemy kids? I suppose I could move all infusions to an sd card, choose my infusions that I want to use and save them to internal memory, replace with a blank card, use, and repeat as needed. Is there a different way? -

I kind of given up on this for a while. I was having problems with the pineapple. I ended up just using my laptop with a 12v power adapter and left my car parked there.
-
I upgraded from 1.41 to 2.02. The pineapple became pretty unresponsive. I had to factory reset and format the SD card before getting it to work. Seems pretty stable after that.

I haven't been into the pineapple lately, but it happens to me more than I would like still. I'm looking for 1.5 to peak my interest again.

@m40295
Of you follow the link you will see they are talkin about radio1/wlan1 and high throughput/ connection speed.
Here we are asking why WLAN0 reach only 18dBm, after initially 24dBm. And its also advertised on the website and from Darren. And in the episode metioned before, Darren approve the 24dBi and its written black on white that the adapter can reach that. So im reading something wrong, or your link has nothing to do with that.
Are you asking why it is still advertised and for sale as being unlocked and able to go up to 24dBm when we know that it can't?

lolI sent an email to hak5 shop a week ago but has not received any response yet.
It has been my experience that they are very selective on what they respond to in email.. Send another email or post your issue here and we can try to help.

Hi there..
I would imagine that it has something to do with the wlan0 issue. They are offering "at cost" solutions and I bet it's a way of controlling that. I haven't run into an area where to register your product yet.

I asked about this in December
