  1. We have almost 3" of snow here... So no rush. UPS isn't doing much.
  2. First thing I did after updating this morning was connected to a network via wlan 2, and turn everything on. It's all stable and working perfectly, great work guys!
  3. Thanks so much for the update. Waiting is never an issue, lack of communication is. And that's never happened with the Hak team. I'm just glad I put my order in the day it was announced. I'll have to admit using the Nano (right now actually) has me really excited for the Tetra!
  4. Its the same as the video for the MKV. Plug it in and let it boot. This will give you an ethernet connection. Under network and sharing you set your IP address manually for that connection to 172.16.42.42. (like the video) Then you goto your internet connection (such as your wifi chipset in a laptop) and under properties/sharing tick the allow other network users... box and select the ethernet connection from the Nano that you just set the manual IP for. Done. Sorry for he brevity, its late. Main thing to take from this is watch the video I posted.
  5. I was able to share a connection using Windows 10 on my laptop using the same setup as the old MK5. With my laptop on a 5ghz 300mbps connection to my Asus router, I'm getting roughly 25-30mbps down while testing with my cell phone connected to the Nano on my 30mbps ISP connection.
  6. Was finally able to take the Nano out and set it up a little while ago. Setup went perfect with my Nexus 6p, just like your video. Plugged it into a USB battery I had laying around, and threw a wifi N dongle on it (connected to my home network so I could access from my PC) and put it out on the front porch. Everything worked smoothly, and just as it should. The new UI is bad ass. Setup time was VERY fast and easy. I swear I'm picking up networks stronger than I do with my mk5 setup.... Is that possible? I'm digging the portability. Might have to throw this in the old MK5 tactical bag. Next to try is connecting to my Kali/RPi2. 2015-12-31_03-59-49 by William Boschert, on Flickr
  7. Oh. Well I guess I would know that if I'd opened mine up last night. My mistake then. The bag that is shown with the Tetra tactical bundle isn't in the Hak shop yet, will you be selling it individually? I was thinking I would swap the Nano into my current setup... But now with Tetra I'm just going to start from scratch. Thinking about a bag this time instead of the hard case.
  8. Just thought of something... You include a USB - micro USB cable with the Nano for setup/tethering with an Android phone. Could you make it an option to choose a USB - USB-C cable? This is what I would need, but I do already have one. I've used a cheap adapter which is fine for power, it was pretty sketchy with data.
  9. Hmm.... I can imagine a setup using the Tetra + Nano that would replace my current mkV + RPi2 w/kali and two extra radios.
  10. The link is down?? Scratch that. Order placed. And my Nano just arrived today, haven't even opened it.
  11. Sweet, mine arrives tomorrow. Thanks for the vid!
  12. Awesome news! I think people really need to keep in mind that these devices are $100. $100. Most of us probably spend 2x more on our home routers. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you in advance.
  13. Well the shipping label was just created for mine (ordered this morning), so it won't be long until I find out. I've actually got a USB-ethernet dongle I've been using for years on my laptop. Might have to go see what chipset it uses...
  14. Honestly I think the bulk of my time with the Pineapple is spent in an ssh prompt. But the new GUI does look exciting.
  15. I've been following the Hak 5 community since the mkIV. Bought the mkV when it was released. I've been playing with it ever since. It's entertaining, and educational. The device, the forum, the videos, etc. I appreciate it all. So if I have to spend $100 every 2-3 years for that, I don't care what they build. I'm fine with it. Computers, mobile electronics, cars, motorcycles, photography, guns..... I don't have too many other hobbies where $100 gets me that far.
  16. Thanks, it's an old shot. (still with an RPi1) So the USB connection will act like an ethernet connection? Interesting..... Guess I'll pick one up.
  17. In my current setup, I have an RPi2 connected to the mkV via ethernet. That way I can access it (kali) through the pineapple using ssh, vnc, etc. How would I do this with the Nano? (no ethernet) https://www.dropbox.com/s/shq1on9eeoic87z/DSC_0049.JPG?dl=0
  18. I haven't been around the forum in a good while, but I do follow this thread. Thanks for all your work with this!
  19. Was having issues with Chrome, so I was using IE on Windows 8.1 Just tried with my phone (Chrome) and it worked just fine.... Problem with IE?
  20. Okay, looks like any button on the AutoSSH tile is giving the error.
