  1. I'm not sure on the driver, but I figured the adapter would show up even if the driver wasn't present? How can I check for, or get the driver? I haven't run Kali in a good while, so I'm currently doing: apt-get clean && apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y && apt-get dist-upgrade -y Thank you in advance for your assistance!
  2. Okay, then 003 must be the Tetra's eth adapter? Well then, that's really odd.
  3. I'm finally getting around to updating my old setup (see attached photos) with my Tetra. (I've also replaced the RPi 1 with an RPi 2) In the original setup the MK4 was connected to the Pi via eth and all was well. Static IP, used SSH from the MK4 to the Kali RPi. Now with the Tetra I'm connecting to the Kali Pi via the micro USB ETH port, but I'm having no luck. Looking on the Pi, the adapter looks like its listed using "lsusb" but it won't show up under interfaces. All I have is eth0 (the Pi's eth port) Both devices are fully powered. The Tetra at 12v, 2A. Pi at 5v 2A. Any ideas? root@kali:~# lsusb Bus 001 Device 008: ID 148f:2770 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2770 Wireless Adapter Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. 4. A quick comparison for shiggles. A recon scan of local APs using the MkV, Nano, and Tetra. All in the identical location, on my 2nd story front porch. The next shot is all three units powered up, with an AP setup. They are all next to each other on one end of the house, and I'm on the other scanning with my Nexus 6p. Okay the forum killed the attachments. So I threw them in the folder with my Tetra pics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0w4my6jspxf1pom/AACV7qRHPlga6w1msBQRTfjDa?dl=0
  5. Nope, I had the window open for a good while, never saw the edit.
  6. You flashed 1.0.1? I'm actually using it right now connected to my home network via USB radio.
  7. Indeed. I use it to power the mkV, and Raspberry Pi 2, each with additional radios. All while being able to charge the battery. I'll probably use it in whatever setup I make for the Tetra.
  8. It's the battery from my Raspple Pi setup: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4xzisd141ij4wew/DSC04681.JPG?dl=0 Intocircuit PC26000 High Capacity Power Castle 26000mAh Portable Power Bank Charger External Battery Pack for Smartphones, Tablet and Laptop https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BB5VQCE/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_aVgVwbSTTXXQS
  9. Okay I switched to my 12v, 2A battery. Flashed the firmware, and all is well. Used my Alfa USB to connect to my Asus router via 5ghz. Logged into the Pineapple management AP with my phone I was able to max my Internet connection. (30mbps/5mbps)
  10. Yep, was power. I was using a 2A 5v cell phone charger via micro USB, then I tried a DC plug (the one from the mkV actually, 9v, 1.5A) and both USB radios are working fine now, just the same problem as above.
  11. I tried two USB wifi dongles that each worked on the mkV and Nano, both freeze the Tetra until removed and rebooted. (both Ralink I believe, one is an Alfa)
  12. Excellent. I think I may want that bag from the Tetra tac edition...
  13. It's the antenna that make it look large. And the Nano next to it. It's not much larger than the mkV. You won't mind or even notice.
  14. Setup and running. Of course the new UI is fantastic (identical to the Nano) but it feels much snappier. And the range/sensitivity..... Just wow. Boom goes the dynamite.
  15. Okay, here are some very quick and dirty shots. I have to run out, won't be able to get any more until later. There are a couple with all three devices as well... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0w4my6jspxf1pom/AACV7qRHPlga6w1msBQRTfjDa?dl=0
  16. Ha, will do. Thought about doing a quick unboxing video...
  17. Mine is out for delivery, should arrive before I get home from work.
  18. Mine is set to arrive tomorrow. I got the Nano 3 days before a 3' blizzard, now the Tetra arrives during a (small) 5" storm.
  19. Outstanding! Not sorry at all that I stole your thunder.
  20. I got money refunded back... I was just *guessing* that it was for shipping.... I'm not 100% sure.
  21. I never got any emails other than my initial purchase receipt on the 30th. I didn't even know there was any until I read about it here. I'm not worried about it, just want to let people know they aren't alone or singled out. I did pay for upgraded shipping, which was refunded. That was my 1st clue. But I've been hanging around the forums since the mark 4.
  22. The ethernet port was put there to connect to a headless Raspberry Pi running Kali. Right? ?
  23. +1 agreed with the guys above me. Whatever man. Glad to hear an update. This isn't an Amazon Prime order for toilet paper. I knew what I was potentially getting into when I ordered. (30th of Dec) I'd much much rather have something you're happy with than something rushed.
