The pineapple wont recognize it whatsoever.

The usb options are blacked out. Iv tried different roms also to no avail.

Im trying to 3g tether my s4 to the pineapple. Iv tried literately 7 usb tethering apps and the pineapple just doesnt want to spit out anything. Any suggestions?

And could I use ICS to share internet from wlan0 to eth0? I just want to use my large antennas instead of a laptop internal.

Supplying internet to the pineapple is simple. My question is how do I connect the pineapple to a known wpa2 network (i got the key) and make sure its connected using that ap? Should I use networkmanager, uwui, command line?

I know it's hex, but am I wrong is presuming most wireless keys are in XX:XX:XX:XX:XX not XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX? Thats what ascii to hex spits out for my wireless key passphrase

What is that format called for a wireless key? (eg the key aircrack spits out) What bit is it and is there any utilities to convert ascii to it? EDIT: how embarrassing, its only 5 XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Internet connection is there, but i cant connect to the pineapple through 172.. and its handing out ip's through my routers dhcp

Yup! Thanks, I knew it was possible. I was assuming the problem needed to be configured on my end, not the pineapples.

the pineapple just assigns hosts under my current network 192.168.1.50-250 i take that back. It assigns pineapples ip's. It still wont get internet connection though,

Howdy. Just got my pineapple and I don't have my laptop handy, so I want to plug my pineapple into my existing wireless router. Can't I just DMZ the ip of the pineapple and that should work as a internet connection for it?
