  1. Ahh turns out the USB drive problems were related to the USB drive partitions changing in the update. It was previously sda5/6, with the update it changed to sda1/2. Fixed that in fstab and all good..
  2. Oh, I chose not to keep my infusions.. it updated OK after I removed the USB drive, however now as soon as I plug the USB flash drive (correctly formatted and worked in 2.8.0) in it reboots and locks up. I have to remove the drive and reboot it :( Will see if I can get some logs or something out of it..
  3. Urp, looks like this update bricked mine :( Went from 2.8.0. Had USB drive plugged in, nothing turned on. I updated via the web page and it's been sitting there for ~2 hours. I can't ping/ssh/get to the web GUI anymore :( How do I recover it?
  4. Hrm, can't get to the site over the OTA on the pineapple or via a browser.. a traceroute to wifipineapple.com gives me: 1 172.16.42.42 (172.16.42.42) 0.280 ms 0.208 ms 0.224 ms 2 10.10.10.1 (10.10.10.1) 1.820 ms 3.359 ms 2.967 ms 3 akl-ip21-xdsl-gw.wxnz.net (182.154.0.21) 39.048 ms 23.430 ms 19.287 ms 4 as17435.cust.bdr01.akl02.akl.VOCUS.net.au (114.31.203.90) 15.915 ms 20.773 ms 26.338 ms 5 ten-0-3-0-120.bdr01.akl02.akl.VOCUS.net.au (114.31.203.89) 18.263 ms 15.815 ms 20.636 ms 6 ten-0-2-0-400.bdr01.akl01.akl.VOCUS.net.au (114.31.202.43) 141.356 ms 142.925 ms 141.347 ms 7 ten-0-1-0-1.cor01.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.54) 141.318 ms ten-0-3-0-1.cor01.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.31) 141.246 ms ten-0-1-0-1.cor01.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.54) 142.471 ms 8 ten-0-3-0.bdr02.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.189) 141.506 ms ten-0-0-0.bdr02.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.191) 146.940 ms ten-0-3-0.bdr02.sjc01.ca.VOCUS.net (114.31.199.189) 147.039 ms 9 10gigabitethernet3-2.core1.sjc1.he.net (64.71.184.45) 144.484 ms 150.062 ms 151.677 ms 10 10gigabitethernet2-1.core1.sjc2.he.net (72.52.92.118) 140.947 ms 141.502 ms 147.309 ms 11 206.111.6.165.ptr.us.xo.net (206.111.6.165) 140.974 ms 140.917 ms 141.072 ms 12 207.88.14.233.ptr.us.xo.net (207.88.14.233) 156.795 ms 153.022 ms 155.417 ms 13 ae0d0.mcr1.la-ca.us.xo.net (216.156.0.114) 159.730 ms 149.915 ms 148.860 ms 14 216.2.68.38 (216.2.68.38) 149.610 ms 149.156 ms 149.265 ms 15 openvz6.lax1.us.interserver.net (206.72.192.2) 149.848 ms 149.447 ms 149.170 ms 16 openvz6.lax1.us.interserver.net (206.72.192.2) 2061.435 ms !H 3149.258 ms !H 3064.302 ms !H
  5. If you connect to a honeypotted AP it depends on what traffic you do over it. If you don't pay attention and login to facebook/gmail/etc that's had SSL stripped or ignore any SSL warnings, you're boned. There are also apps that use SSL but don't verify SSL certificates. If you use one of these apps and there's someone evil in between you, you can still get boned..
  6. Try disabling the watchdog, see http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/29361-pineapple-reboots-every-30-minutes/#entry223028
  7. Or the great intelligence trying to suck you into cyberspace! (re New Dr Who ;)
  8. Disabling the watchdog process has stopped the random reboots for me (2.8.0). Run "/etc/init.d/watchdog stop" to disable it.. or chmod -x /etc/init.d/watchdog to disable it permanently. (You can do chmod +x /etc/init.dwatchdog to renable it on boot)
