  1. In my case, doing web based upgrade, It aked me to remove the USB, did the upgrade, asked me to re insert USB (to restore the back up) and voilla... All all ina ll about 10 minutes including two resets.. If it does not respond at all, after a while it will just kick you of the page, if not try to log in on another tab..
  2. Solved! Did an online update and just took out the USB drive and re plugged it.. (this is if you choose the option to keep your infusions). I connect by LAN cable btw..
  3. When I try to upgrade offline using the file from HDD it just reboots twice and then it kicks me of the page.. no upgrade performed...
  4. I performed the update, twice... The about page still reads 2.8.0 is this normal?
  5. Mine actually just reboots after starting SSLSTRIP or MITM..
  6. It worked with the ./wp4.sh thanks guys :-)
  7. I'll try it tomorrow and let you know.. thanks!
  8. They are both eth0 and wlan0 ;-)
  9. Yep, logged in as root. no VM just a clean install...
  10. Does anyone have a script to get ICS working on Kali Linux between wireless and LAN. somehow the wp4.sh comes back with errors in line 20,37 and 50.. Can't seem to find the reason. must be a syntax error in the bash script but my scripting knowledge is not good enough to adjust it.
  11. Then again we could also use a DC to DC 5v to 12v 1w step up converter?
  12. Just to be clear.. the Astro 3E has two USB ports to power small devices. One is called Android and the other Apple.. it comes with various adapter plugs for various smartphones. it DOES NOT have a dc out, just the two USB's it has a mini USB on the side and that is to charge the battery itself. The cable I mentioned before in my post is a USB to DC cable as sold in the Hackshop. Connecting the USB part with that cable to the DC of the pineapple did not result in a power up or lights on. Tried both ports and the battery is fully charged (4 blue lights). Now if it will work from Astro USB to Pineapple USB I don´t know and am a bit scared to try to be honest.
  13. Hi there, As mentioned, I have the Astro 3 E has no DC barrel adapter in the package, but comes with two USB ports that deliver 1a and 2a over 5V. I tried the USB to barrel cable to feed the MkIV but there is no power on.. I thought about feeding it into the USB through a hub.. But since I am already the proud owner of a fried Pineapple due to a double charging serial jtag mishap I wanted to avoid sacrificing another one.. If I understand the story above correctly though you are back feeding the Pineapple through a Belkin powered USB hub? I wanted to experiment with the 8xAA battery method mentioned elsewhere in the forum and at a later stage I will buy the Astro 3 since they seem to be the best for the Pineapple.
  14. I have the Anker 3E and can confirm that there is not enough power coming through.. This is using the DC plug and not feeding the USB.. haven't tried the latter since I heard that might brick the Pineapple..
  15. Great article!! Question, could this work somehow with a 12V battery http://www.maplin.co.uk/panasonic-12v-battery-23a-2-pack-634715 Cheers and thanks for sharing.
  16. The 5V 10000mah setup will not work as I have the same with my Anker 3E and it wont work..
  17. hmm I guess I bought the wrong Astro :-(
  18. Hi all, I have a Pineapple mark IV that I would like to power using the Anker 3E batterypack. For some reason my USB to DC barrel cable does not work, I have tried different cables but to no avail. Does anyone have any experience with this setup. Anddoes any of you know if there is an adapter for the Anker's mini barrel jack to the 3.1mm that the MKIV uses?
  19. Will do I'll let u know what happens ayway, thanks m8..
  20. I've done everything to the letter this time ;-) tried various variations of reset and wps pressing both on power on and after as well.. I shall be talking to an electronics guy tomorrow, hope he has a solution if not I will have to write it of I guess..
  21. I'm sure the lights flashing and the frequency of it would be an indication of what's wrong exactly. Whereas if it would be completely nuked it would just stay dark and cold.. Again, I'm not an electronics man.Thank you guys for the help so far though!
  22. No it doesn't, what does happen though is that the Ü character pops up in the terminal... I'm a network consultant, not much of an electronics guy :-/ but could it be that a condensator has gone? I would say the cpu itself is protected by the circuit somehow..
  23. When hooking up the vdd power instead of the adapter the lights remain steady lit
  24. There was no smoke or sounds.. When I hook it up properly it just has the green cursor and the blue lights (all of them) flashing at 1/2 second interval. Ethernet is not connecting either
  25. Does this mean it's toasted or is there any quick fix? The Wiki does not state the light flashing codes nor can I find anythging on the net...
