    Little Laptop

It is a SONY Vaio P laptop. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Vaio_P_series
  2. May I suggest putting solutions for product issues in the products official wiki? It makes sense to have information in one place, and the wiki's created by Hak5 are open for edits for a reason :)
  3. If you find solutions to problems, please post them in case someone is interested in the same thing in the future and comes across this post.
  4. To remove the case for the NANO, place a guitar pick inside the case where the SD slot is (NOT INSIDE THE ACTUAL SD SLOT COMPONENT) and gently pop the bottom and top parts of the case apart and then move around the seam with the pick.
  5. Underneath each rubber foot on the bottom is a small Philips head screw. Remove these and then gently pry the top of the case off by going around it with a guitar pick or similar tool. Make sure you put the lid on the right way when you reassemble it.
  6. Hey Transient, Those options were merged together in a previous update. All scans now scan for AP & Client.
  7. While the device does get warm, i'm almost certain that it's still within it's correct temperature range and isn't the cause of problems.
  8. No It's the only way to change your modems IP
  9. Please post the VID:PID from the output of `lsusb` for the dongle
  10. Hello! Thanks for making a detailed post with screenshots, it was nice for me to use the exact same commands when testing myself. I did the same as you did (Power on, scan with the Recon module, run airodump, and send deauth frames to a 5ghz AP with aireplay) and it worked fine for me: Forgive my censors. Could you try testing again, and also include information about what firmware version you're running and include the output of dmesg in a reply?
  11. Can you share more information? I use Arch daily and have no problem using ICS with my Tetra.
  12. An interesting read so far, thanks for sharing.
  13. I've told the IRC opers about the SSL certificate. In the meantime you can join by accepting invalid certificates, it will work the same.
  14. Because it would be daft to ask the user to use a micro USB to USB adapter if they want to use a USB radio.
  15. Sorry I didn't reply after saying I'd try and help sooner... @sud0nick nailed it. From what I can see from posts is that its a service running on its own port? That's not a very good attitude to have, especially considering you started the thread... sharing knowledge is greatly appreciated.
  16. I'd love to try and point you in the right direction.. what failed when you tried making the module?
  17. Your device will prefer remembered secure access points over insecure access points.
  18. Make sure your Module Manager is up to date by making sure there are no available updates for it. Check your firmware version by going to the Advanced module.
  19. I think you are overthinking the radios a little bit. There are indeed two radios, two antennas for each. wlan0 is for the public AP, wlan0-1 is for the management AP. They both use the same physical radio, but are two different logical interfaces. Here is an excerpt from /etc/config/wireless (Note they both use the same device): config wifi-iface option device 'radio0' option network 'lan' option mode 'ap' option ssid 'Public_AP' option encryption 'none' option hidden '1' config wifi-iface option device 'radio0' option network 'lan' option mode 'ap' option encryption 'psk2+ccmp' option ssid 'Management_AP' option key 'redacted' option disabled '0' I hope that clears it up.
