  1. i have 80mbps line... only enterprise grade routers work with these speeds (and top-end home ones as asus rt66 or netgear r6300). max i can get out of pineapple 4 is about 5-7mbps
  2. Nice one! Thanks! I assume it needs to be ran with at least 2 wlan intefaces available (+possible 3rd to deauth)?
  3. Was it tested with mk4 by any chance? Should i even try?
  4. The worst problem with usb storage i encountered, is that my usb stick getting enumerated as sda in 50% of boots and as sdb in other 50%... How can i fix this? This is always same setup with powered 3-port hub ('classic') and anker 12v power to mk4. This is the last hurdle for me before getting some use out of mk4 as a remote dropbox. I sometimes need to issue reboot command via ssh tunnel, but i am not sure if it will boot up with sda (mapped in /etc/config/fstab) or as sdb...
  5. it's very weak as home router with speeds rarely reaching 2+mbps
  6. I had this pesky access point (tp-link) that completely blocked any reaver attempts on it. But bully pwned it within 2h30m. After a year no less of failing with reaver. Oh, and you're all welcome! My pleasure to contribute.
  7. IMHO reaver is crap against modern wps. I had WAY more success with 'bully'. Can it be installed on Mk5? Or missing dependencies be a problem again?
  8. Try running 'php' from command line. I had this message pop up on me (Mark4) yesterday after reboot. Had 3 hours of 'fun' trying to troubleshoot. Then i just ran #php and it showed me an error (missing libcrypto.so) that immidiately indicated that usb did not mount on reboot (i have fresh libcrypto.so on my usb and ln'ed to /lib and /usr/lib). Just thought running php in shell may help you troubleshoot as it did in my case.
  9. Reviving old thread to add some info. I make the tunnel for port 1471 but i was getting weird 'Rejected request from RFC1918 IP to public server address' message when accessing 1471 from internet. I figured it out eventually - you have to edit the /etc/config/uhttpd to disable the RFC1918 checking option.
  10. Funnily enough, i am not amazed by this blatant Day1 bug
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-USB-2-0-HUB-3-Port-Data-Cable-Adapter-Charger-Dual-USB-Power-Supply-/290983994338?pt=US_USB_Cables_Hubs_Adapters&hash=item43bfff63e2 here you go mate
  12. I got 2 of these (the ones hakshop sells) for 3usd each off ebay. I can't find a link to the lot, but i'll try. most powered hubs are powered via ac adapter, so 'any would do' are just words ;)
  13. no solution. device reboots constantly. the stupid words about 'it's just a soho router' fall flat when it's like only one client watching youtube or two clients browsing. my tp-link microrouter can handle x10 that off usb power without rebooting.... i also had a dream to use mark4 as a 'drop' device, but this complete instability makes me angry every time i think about doing something with mark4... how about 3.0.0? same reboots?
  14. what he ^^^^^ said, but with less caps and more grammar.... mark 4 was the lame duck from the start. if mark 5 is just arduino yun - wow, that'll be a final straw ;)
  15. your lenmar will not power pineapple propertly. get additional 9v/12v power source.
  16. Well, they say pineapple have 'supportive community', so.... Guess we'll have to wait... Again.
  17. http://www.amazon.com/14400mAh-Multi-Voltage-Portable-External-adapters/dp/B005NGLTZQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1380327501&sr=1-2&keywords=anker+pro this one is the bee's knees... forget weak Astro3.
  18. You need 9v/12v power, not USB power to use the pineapple.
  19. hak5 almost completely abandoned pineapple, sorry... i also felt somewhat misleaded when i got the pro pack (juice pack that is unable to power the pineapple propertly, NHA card that is so buggy it's unbelievable, flashstick that is incompatible with pineapple at all etcetcetcetc).
  20. ok, there's couple of bugs here that i get. 1 - dhcp gives clinet on wlan0 (karma'd or not) two dns servers, first is 172*1 as it should be, but second is opendns address(222.something). so i had to edit dhcpd conf file in /etc/something dir to edit out the free dns. otherwise client still can/may reach freedns address and resolve the proper ip, bypassing the dnsspoof. 2 - for the love of all good things, i cannot get main traffic sslstriped with just some sites redirected to 'captive' pages on the pineapple. it either does only spoof but not passes all other traffic, or sslstrip works but spoofed sites are not being redirected to, OR pineapple reboots 1min into the experiment (ext usb powered hub, 12v into pine). i think we need some iptables magic from gurus.
  21. I personally tried to go up from 2.8.1 to 3.0.0 and back to 2.8.1 (sysupgrade method) and haven't had any problems.
