  1. I have been trying to get my usb stick (the one from hak5 shop) to work with my pineapple and i went to reformat it and now its saying it write protected. I have googled everywere and tried to the 'redgit' route and the ubuntu disk utility format but still i carnt do anything to the usb stick! has the pineapple broke it?
  2. running it off the mains now using a ipod usb plug thing and the usb it defo geting enough power. The only thing i can think it is... is that i have not set it to master boot record because there is no option for it in gpart or ubuntu.... Is there anywere i can download the correct formating software so i know 100% its formatted correctly? Also when i do i reboot do i leave the USB stick in or do i take it out before the reboot and put it back in after the pineapple sets wireless up and such? EDIT: after entering command 'mkswap /dev/sda2' and rebooting the device the usb was still powered after reboot :D BUT no extra memory. I checked the logs (shown below) and noticed there was lots of errors that related to the sda side of things. Does anyone know if this is part of the problem and how to solve it? 00:00:54 Pineapple user.info sysinit: swapon: /dev/sda2: read swap header failed: Invalid argument 00:00:54 Pineapple user.info 3. am running it through the usb power cable connected to the pineapple and the laptop. It must have enough power because it powers it somtimes and its only after a reboot it will not. Does my USB configuration look correct? Also am not sure if my socket will over power the pinapple because am in the UK and we have a higher power output from are sockets
  4. EDIT- WAS SOLVED USING A DIFFRENT USB DRIVE! THE ONE HAK5 SENT WAS FAULTY! Hi i am still new to pineapple so am sorry for what seems to you guys as a noob question but i have tried to get my 4gb sandisk usb stick (the one hak shop sells) to work with my pineapple s i can install moduals. I followed the instructions in the book as close as i could but the software has changed in the new ubunto and i didnt know what version was used in the guide. So anyways that never worked. so i tried gparted... still no luck :(. I also edited the USB config file to the settings below and pressed the update button. config global automount option from_fstab 1 option anon_mount 1 config global autoswap option from_fstab 1 option anon_swap 0 config mount option target /usb option device /dev/sda1 option fstype ext4 option options rw,sync option enabled 1 option enabled_fsck 0 config swap option device /dev/sda2 option enabled 1 Still no luck I also entered in the advanced section 'mkswap /dev/sda2' and pressed enter but when i reboot the usb stick is not getting power so even ifi take it out an put it back in again (i know because the usb light on the stick and pineapple do not show). all this and still no extra memory in the resources tab. Although under the usb part in resources it does show a sandisk usb plugged in... Can anybody help? am running with the new pineapple and version 2.7
  5. pictures would be agrate help thank you andalso di you have to butcher any of the usb cabels to stop power back feeding?
  6. thanks am gunna order them on payday and start getting to know my pineapple :D you have been a grate help
  7. That looks grate! just to make sure, do i plug the external battery into the hub and then the pineapple, usb and alfa card will all get power from the hub?
  8. That make alot more sense :) just to make sure to add to the whitelist i simply type "00:c0:ca:64:73:bc" into the white list place and press save? also if i want to whitelist 2 AP's how would i seprate them for example "00:c0:ca:64:73:bc; 00:c0:ca:12:23:34" or "00:c0:ca:64:73:bc, 00:c0:ca:12:23:34"? Also does Karma use diffrent MAC's when creating rouge AP's, if so wouldnt it actually deauth them lol?
  9. ok thank you but am i adding the AP to the whitelist correctly? Also does having the AP whitelisted mean that any clients cnnected to it will not get dauthed?
  10. Hi there, I recent recived the Pineapple mark 4 elite kit and was not aware the battery pack included cannot even power the pineapple and alfa (alfa working in montor mode but turns off when deauthing) at the same time. Also i want to have a usb connected at the same time using a USB hub for both the USB and the alfa wirless card. My question is what hub would i best be using (actual name of a hub, i know it needs external power) and my second question is do i need a second external battrie for the USB hub or just a more powerful external battrie? I ask that second question because am worried about putting to much power trough the pineapple and damaging it (if thats possible with a battery). Hope to hear back soon because am really kean to get up and running so i can play with this device
  11. can sombody tell me how to add mac's to the whitelist. I added to the box like below 00:c0:ca:64:73:bc 00:c0:ca:61:c9:35 and pressed save. I run the jammer on my alpha card connected to th pineapple and it disconnected my wireless connection to the pineapple. This should not happen because the top mac is my laptop wireless card and the bottom is the pineapple mac. any advise? am i adding the macs correctly? edit: on a side not am powering the whole thing on the external battrie that come with the elite pack. I think although the alfa card goes into monitoring mode it has not got enough powe to deauth and is turning off. Is that possible
  12. Apprenly he guide thesent with it is out of date and the new way to connect to it uses a port! If anyone else like me is looking on how to connect the port is 1471 and the way to point a browser to the location is shown below http://172.16.42.1:1471/ Hope this save someone else some time :)
  13. ok, so iv bought a pineapple and iv just opened it today. I fired it up off the battery pack and connected to it over wireless but when i point the browser to http://172.16.42.1/pineapple/ The pineapple changes the address to http://172.16.42.1/pineapple/redirect.php and keeps refresshing the pae and does not allow me to login. Is there a reason for this and how do i go about fixng it?
