  1. Hey there community, I have a Mark V and the AWUS036NEH wifi adapter. I am using the (WLAN2) adapter to connect to a wireless router to provide internet to the Mark V. Before I wrote this I have searched several times, just to make sure this has not been discussed. I would like to know if there is anyone who has experienced this same issue? Maybe I am doing something wrong. I was going to make a short video if that would help, but figured I would post this first. My issue is that I want to use the WLAN1 network which is the (built in) RTL8187 to run Pine AP on while using WLAN2 (External USB AWUS036NEH) to connect to the wireless router for internet access. Well when I use the Client Mode tab in the Network tile to connect to the wireless router WLAN0 connects to the wireless router instead of WLAN2. If I reboot the pineapple the settings stay and WLAN0 will connect to the router which is not what I want. I have upgraded to the latest firmware and also tried doing factory resets. After a factory reset it will work. I am aware of a command that will remove the interfaces and back them up to their original state, without having to perform a factory reset. I can try to re-create this issue and post logs. Five minutes ago I just factory reset the pineapple without saving the logs. SMH. Anyways thanks for any help or resources you can help with. EDIT: Still having the same issue. Has anyone else had the same problem? Or can someone try to do the same thing and see if they get the same results. I am working on a video just in case I am not explaining it correctly.
  2. Please DO search before starting a new Topic on something that has already been discussed and solved. Well if you went through the Pineapple Setup process when you first got your pineapple. In the very beginning it will ask you to setup your password and username as well as setting up a WPA2 Wifi Network so you can remotely access your pineapple over its internal wifi network. Once you are able to log into the pineapple and you can see the web interface there is a Tab called "Network" if you click on the tab it will open into a large tile and will have several other Tabs and one of those is called "Client Mode". Click on "Client Mode" and look for your Access point to supply the Wifi Pineapple with internet. A simple search shows these videos How to setup Mark V with Windows How to connect to AP in Client Mode
  3. Hey Hak5 community, I am selling a DJI S900 Hexacopter with most of the equipment needed to do professional aerial photography or just to fly for fun. Comes with a Pelican 0370 case with foam and a bunch of extras Setup with a Zenmuse Gimbal for the Sony Nex5 Has FPV Equipment and ready to fly with two 16,000mah batteries. This would make a monster pentesting platform to carry lots of hacker gear Let me know if your interested.
  4. Yah if you have tried to re-flash, factory reset, etc. more than likely you have a bad pineapple. I'm guessing your running the latest firmware? 2.2.0? If you are then make sure to contact the hakshop @ support@hak5.org and refer them to this post and they should get your replacement started.
  5. I have had my Mark V for about a week now and I have no issues with PineAP. Well I take that back. When using PineAP I would use a third wifi adapter to connect to a Wi-Fi AP and it would shut down all of my WLAN's until I did a factory reset. Have you tried a Firmware re-flash? Make sure you use the Ethernet cable to connect to you laptop or pc. Flashing Instructions If you try to run Wlan1 in client mode while also trying to use PineAP I don't think it will work correctly.
  6. Sounds of 3d printing in the background... music to my ears. Working on the next quadcopter build

  7. I don't think your going to find the information your looking for on this forum. I myself build and fly Quadcopters and know some things. So you might find someone to answer you questions but as far as I know there are no actual threads yet. I fly with a Futaba 14sg and I love it. But I have heard some great things about the 9x. There are some websites you can search for that have some great information on hacking the Turnigy 9x. If you are having a difficult time finding links on google let me know and I can send you some links that might help you.
  8. Hey I wanted to share this. I am printing out quadcopter and hexacopter frames for those who would like one. I can also build a complete kit for you even with FPV. I just got done adding a micro FPV camera to my setup the other day. Most of all the builds will have auto level features which makes flying much easier and enjoyable. PM if interested The majority of the frames that will be printed will be under 250mm due to printer build plate restrictions. I can print in black and red for the time being until I can purchase some different colors. Micro FPV Camera FatShark Teleporter V4 Goggles
  9. Ok gonna update this posting. I have my Mark IV up for sale for $55 shipped in the United States PM if interested. Thanks
  10. OH I forgot to post this. It's called AirDog and its a drone that can follow you while you do whatever your doing. It uses a wrist mounted device that relays your location to the drone. ww.airdog.com
  11. Congrats, it is a lot of fun. After a while you will prob ditch that KK2.1 FC board for a Naza or MultiWii FC board. So many more options and features.
  12. Built mine in a few hours. I am in the process of adding FPV setup so I can remotely fly the quad without needing to actually see the quad itself. The arms will fold in towards each other so you can carry it in a backpack. I am going to swap flight control boards so I can start doing Acrobatics and racing.
  13. Pineapple is still for sale. Hey there I have two pineapples and I want to sell one of them. I have had absolutely no issues with this pineapple. Comes with 12V adapter and travel case plus antenna. Also has a new RP-SMA pigtail It's currently running 3.0 but I can reflash it to whatever you wish. :) Asking $65 Shipped anywhere in the USA :)
  14. Well you would need an rp-sma connector its the same one that comes on the mark iv. I just cut my stock antenna cable from the sdr and crimped the RP-SMA to the stock cable with the stock mcx connector for the sdr. I use a 9dbi antenna and am able to get many more frequencies. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0627.jpg http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0616.jpg
  15. I would go here and find your location. http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/ Then get some beer or whiskey and browse for some stations, note that I could not receive any signals other than fm with the stock antenna, at least in my area. I would suggest making a larger antenna or to purchase one online somewhere. Also most stations will either be NFM WFM or AM. Others might vary from LSB USB CW. Also if you try listening to police, fire and ems some if not most systems are encoded. You will need additional software to listen to such frequencies. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-19-Police-Radio-Scanner/
  16. Still learning and had to make my own antenna using my 9 dBi wifi antenna which btw works so much better than the supplied stock antenna. All I did was buy a RP-SMA connector and splice it to the original mcx connector. Laptop running Kali Linux and using GQRX, with RTLUSB with mcx to RP-SMA connector with tp-link antenna. For those who are trying to compile their own drivers for whatever distro you are running good luck. I have gone through Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04. I was able to install it successfully on 13.04 however there was a lot of lag and stuttering. So instead I have installed a dual boot on my hdd that includes Windows 7 as well as Kali linux and I have my sdr working on both OS. Simple and easy. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0616.jpg http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0609.jpg http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0611-1.jpg http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m504/craigslistpics4130/IMAG0632.jpg
  17. I know that even with sdrsharp that at one time I had to download the RTLUSB.dll file from the sdrsharp website in order for the software to even detect the USB SDR device. So maybe that's why cutesdr doesn't see your SDR. If you still have problems check these two sites out may give you some insight. http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/ http://www.thepowerbase.com/2012/06/getting-started-with-rtl-sdr/
  18. Try the Linux guide that's posted above it might help you with your drivers but will also install SDR Sharp which is what I first started using. Personally I have had some issues finding the right Linux Distro to use with my SDR. Most of the guides are for Debian or Ubuntu and watch out some are only for 64-bit machines. You could also make a bootable usb with Kali linux on it and it works great. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my old Toshiba dual core thinking it would work find and experienced a lot of skipping and stuttering.
  19. Well which os are you running? Also there is a pre-compiled Ubuntu ISO that has all the necessary drivers and software to run your SDR. Here is the link to that ISO.. http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdrhackrf-live-dvd/
  20. Hey there I have two pineapples and I want to sell one of them. I have had absolutely no issues with this pineapple. Comes with 12V adapter and travel case plus antenna. 21. https://whispersystems.org/blog/cyanogen-integration/ pretty friggin sweet IMO I saw this video today and saw Shannon talking a little bit about it.
  22. Well if you decide to unlock and root your phone I would install CM 10 totally up to you. BTW if you do any flashing make sure you make a backup of your original rom on your Note3. I would recommend you get quickpik for your photos and if you get on IRC download andIRC. I use antennaPOD to download podcasts from hak5. Make an account on the xda forums if you haven't already there will be a lot of information in those forums.
