  1. Hey hakzorz, I've created a PirateBox/Raspberry Pi combo for use at an outdoor music festival here in Victoria, Australia. It's going to be a hub for news and updates as well as a message board between festival attendees. The PirateBox will be handling the wireless connections and networking as well as hosting the news/update pdf downloads. The Raspberry Pi will be hosting the php based forum, Phorum. My question is what do you think the maximum simultaneous wifi connections to the devices would be? Or how do I go about finding out? The specs are as follows: PirateBox TP-Link TL-MR3220 32 GB USB Flash Memory - as storage piratebox_0.5.1 - running on top of OpenWRT (not sure what version) Raspberry Pi 512 MB Ram 32 GB SD Card Flash Memory - as storage Occidentalis V0.2 - a debian wheezy based distro with all the latest upgrades My guess is that it would handle 30 or so at max. Any help with this would be super. Cheers, Dr H
  2. Alright. Up and running with 2.7. Thanks for the tip. Upgrade did reset my settings and everything. I'm now using it with my Asus netbook running GNU/Linux CrunchBang (Debian), 2.6.32 Linux kernel. USB tethering wise I still no further ahead. When I plug the phone in I'm not given the option on the Galaxy S3 to activate USB tethering. When I run lsusb I don't see it connected: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub[/CODE] When I run dmesg I see it either. Although it does mention ageneric USB device which could be it (?). 3. Hi ho haksters, First forum post on Hak5 so please be kind. I'm trying to get USB tethering working on my WifiPineapple Mark4. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 running Cyanogenmod 9. WP4 is running firmware 2.4.1. The USB tethering mode is not available when I plug the pineapple in. Could this be due to the changing the /etc/config/network && /etc/config/dhcp settings for it to work with my MacBook Pro running Lion, as per http://cloud.wifipin...?id=guidemacics ? Also, how would I restore the /etc/config/network && /etc/config/dhcp settings to their original state? (Some fool forgot to back-up the files before editing ;) According to the above mentioned article it is not wise to do a WPS button reset. Is someone able to post the original text for these files? Many thanks in advance rad haksters! Peace, Dr H
