  1. Thanks Pizzafries, Do you happen to know the barrel width of the power port? So i can get appropriate matching usb power cable.
  2. Hey everyone, First question, is it possible to make a DHCP reservation? So instead of having to force the IP 172.16.42.42 (and afterwards removing it again) it would just get it assigned. Second question: Any suggestions for a powered usb hub? Two ports would be enough to tether and have a usb for storage connected connected. Third question: Can the pineapple handle running tcpdump and sslstrip at the same time? I seemed to work however tcpdump said it dropped a bunch of packets. Thanks!
  3. I didn't verify IP settings, but no ethernet cable was connected and i could still browse the web interface.
  4. Maybe off topic: My pineapple succesfully impersonated a WEP AP. It even displayed as security type WEP in windows.
  5. Working of theory, i don't have my pineapple at the moment. When a user goes to a page like facebook.com/friends, there will be a dns request for facebook.com. Which results in a IP address, All further requests on the facebook.com domain will be send to that IP address. So i believe if you link on the same domain it should not redirect you back.
  6. I myself was going to look into if it was possible to make the WPS led blink when a new client connects through karma. Maybe an idea ;)

    Wifi Paranoia

Haha indeed, no the AP is actually called Viper and it's mac signatures says is a D-Link device (I have a linksys with dd-wrt). I assume i has to do with how omni directional antennas work or something.

    Wifi Paranoia

Hello everyone, Awaiting the delivery of my pineapple, very excited :) But to the point. I noticed a new AP in my area, so i booted up BT and fired up airodump to try and locate the AP. For this is use the highly complex method of walking to the corners of my house while watching the signal power. Here the catch, the signal is strongest in the center of my living room.. How is that possible.. The only solution i came up with somebody lives in a cave below me and now has wifi, or somebody is hiding in my attic D: But hopefully there is a more logical explanation.. Using: Realtek8187 with 2 antennas 5 en 9 dBm in a slight V shape. Since both my alfa suddenly stopped injecting and authenticating (but they still see AP's etc) but that's another story i guess :)
