  1. Just a update. I returned for a exchange and the great peeps at Hak5 have already mailed off a new one. Thnxs for the super fast turn around Shannon!
  2. ok, when i pwr on the pineapple the pwr light comes on and stays on, the WPS light blinks for 10-15 seconds then the lan light comes on and stays on. As for the serial board I'm using "CP2102 USB 2.0 to UART TTL 6PIN Module" was reccommended here..I followed the instructions as far as connecting the serial on the wiki page. crossed the two pins RX - TX ect..Nothing happens when i have serial connected and pwr on pineapple, the light do not blink they just do there normal start up cycle. It is possible this is were things get wonky for me but, idk anymore. I get puTTY to make the connection but, nothing happens. do no it it matters but the Pineapple IP is set to 172.16.42.42 and does ping..I can not SSH into it, times out
  3. Is anybody interested in flashing or attempting to flash this board for me? I think it's just bunk however but, I'll pay to try..Dezrtracr33@gmail.com. if post is up I'm still looking..
  4. Looking for a individual in the States I can send my MKIV board to for reflashing, if it can be. I can't do anything with it. I'll include prepaid return padded envelope and a Jackson. easy money for the right guy, ten minutes work. Dezrtracr33@gmail.com..Will post or delete when I find someone. Jasager forum is full of ppl who could do this in there sleep so, come on now..
  5. I found the driver for the UART, I have all my settings and connections as the instructions say but, when I open puTTY the screen comes up, I plug in the pineapple and instead of U Boot I get nothing, nothing happens? I have the ports and pins correctly set, computer IP is 192.168.2.11. is there a specific IP the pineapple shouls be set to, does that matter at this point?
  6. watched theprotocol's video on clean flashing is the setup the same using the USB adapter? they used the ALFA console.
  7. Ok, did this and all it did was changed the LAN from Unidentified Network (this is what it has been since i first hooked it up) to Network 5. Apart from that no change, still no ping, no response. I can't access through win or puTTY. How am i going to be able to flash with the adapter if I can't get win to let me in? fingers crossed
  8. Not sure what your asking but. I checked the IP on the pineapple to make sure its correct and my ICS is enabled and no settings have been modified from before when I was able to see the UI or get a response from the unit.
  9. That's very similar to the one I just had to order, same specs. your problem looks alot like mine. Hak5 needs to sell these Cables on the site probably take away some of the confusion in shopping around for the right one.
  10. tried winSCP it's all the same Network Error: conection timed out. I ping 172.16.42.1 and it times out. I can't figure out what I did so, frustrating..
  11. Yes tried the Ethernet cable and no success, just ran puTTY and it's saying Connection Refused:Error.
  12. Thanks everyone for your input. Can't imagine what I did to cause this but, the last time I was on I was working trying to get radio1 to connect maybe I just screwed the pooch. You can bet when I get the adapter and try to flash the update I'll be asking more dumb questions. Sorry in advance, lol.
  13. I found a post by Sober. He had similar problems and suggested the actions i take in windows 7 to fix the issue are as follows, unplug, disable local area connection, release and renew ipconfig, reenable local, power on and rehookup pineapple, if that doesnt work reset for 5 seconds followed by waiting 5 and repeating always has. This did not work for me I tried and tried. I ordered the adapter and will flash the update I guess. owe well, life goes on.
  14. Kool. So, the unbrickable Pineapple bricked? Now once I shell out more $ for this adapter I can flash a upgrade or something? Is there instructions on flashing using this adapter somewhere? plz
  15. The WPS, PWR, WLAN lights are on. it pings but, no wifi signal. I just don't get it.
  16. Sorry, the pineapple is not broadcasting a wifi signal.
  17. all the LED's fire up as usual. I'm connected to the POE on the pineapple and WAN on comp as i have been. yes i have internet broadcasting, I stupidly did not set up a tunnel, noob mistake.when i turn it on the WPS button flashes a few times and the the others turn on just as before
  18. There a easy way to check if the SSID is brodcasting, sorry
  19. I pinged 172.16.42.42 and sent/recieved 4 packets no loss. checked network settings and sharing is enabled and nothing looks different from before.pinged 172.16.42.1 and timed out 100% loss.
  20. Sorry, I'm a noob but, I've been using my pineapple successfully for weeks know but, today I can't get to the UI. I've checked and rechecked everything. tried resetting it, disabling and renewing my connection, just keeps coming back page not found, Mark IV. Anybody steer me in the right direction?
  21. Yes, I see in Network Manager which I run on my Pine and I change the Wireless Network Name (SSID) to something Vanilla but, it doesn't stick. still shows up Pineapple.
