  1. SSLSTRIP has been preforming quite slow when using my google toolbar.... It just keeps loading and loading.

    (google toolbar)

Also I would like to point out when your typing an address in, and it has a "/" at the end of it, it preforms slow as well.

"www.google.com" works great, but "www.google.com/" does not.

    SSLSTRIP runs beautifully otherwise though.

Any thoughts on why this may be happening? Any fixes?

  2. New world, is there any need for the pineapple in your setup? Wouldn't it be cleaner to have your pi pump out the hotspot and do away with the pineapple. pwnstar is a great script to start up the access point and sniffers/ssl strip all from the rasberrypi.

Hmmm.... I've never thought of it that way before. I always visioned the Pi as a deauth tool and a vnc server. It's main intentions were to share the load of the pineapple.

It would be interesting though to see if you could run the whole process from the Raspberry Pi..... I wouldn't know where to start though, nor do I have the time anymore since college is back in session.

Do you have a Raspberry pi of your own to experiment with this idea?

  3. I use the media link with the raspberry pi, and not with the pineapple... I'll look for a driver tonight to have it work with the pineapple, but I can't guarantee I'll find it.

If your looking for a wifi dongle that is known to work, I would recommend the Alfa AWUS036H... Also, in the next update, the Alfa AWUS036NHA should work.

Here is a link to the one that is guaranteed working (Alfa AWUS036H):

  4. See if you can connect to the pineapple through a Ethernet cord.... if you can try to ssh into the pineapple or even better putty into it.

If you can do all these things, then you could clean flash it via ssh, and not the UI page.

    Check out Security4Plus's videos.

  5. Nevermind solved it myself, it was several problems:

1: airdrop-ng doesnt install correctly with the new aircrack-ng suite and it wants lorcon2. so i got the aircrack-ng suite from my BT5

2: the installation didnt move a file called oui.txt to /usr/lib/aircrack-ng so had to do it maually.

3: had to edit the airdrop-ng program because tx.getchannel() dont work, maybe just my card.

so if anyone want to do mass deauths with their pi I can post instsructions or the image file later on.

I would actually be very interested in these instructions :D

Send me a PM or something.

  6. I'm looking for a sd card that is confirmed working with pwnpi on the raspberry pi... I would love to make some videos but need a good sd card first. Here are some errors I can show visually.

    Purple screen behind terminal window-

    Tabs not labeled-

    http://www.flickr.co...N08/7820515488/

I believe these errors are sd card read/write related. (the sd card I'm using now is a Sandisk 16gb class 4)

Here are my plans on videos in the future (once I get this sd card problem fixed):

    • sshing into the the raspberry pi Android phone--->Pineapple--->Raspberry

(I can actually demonstrate this now if you guys like)

    • ICS from the raspberry pi to the pineapple
    • VNC into the raspberry pi over internet (so you can control your pineapple without being close to it)
    • VNC into the raspberry pi over SSH (for when you don't have internet connection yet)
    • deauthing with pwnpi (depending on whether my Alfa driver works and if I can get airdrop-ng on pwnpi)

(post a response for any video ideas you might have)

Please help out in regards to the SD card... Thanks :D

  8. Kinda......

The pineapple uses a DC to DC converter to provide 5v to the board and the converter is not very efficient.

After reading your post I decided to do some testing on an actual 9v battery and a MK4.

    Test results:

    Using a 40Ah 12 volt battery I got a consumption of 1.05 watts

    Actual readings : 80.4mA @ 13.10 volts (under load)

    Using a Rayovac 9v battery I got a consumption of .68 watts

Actual readings: 102.5mA @ 6.59 volts (under load)

So in conclusion if you had a choice of what voltage to give your pineapple the closer to 5v you can get the less power is wasted by the DC to DC converter inside the pineapple itself.

NOTE: I would not use any battery that has a voltage lower than 6 volts so that as the battery drains you don't fall below the operating voltage of 5v really fast.

EDIT: MK4 configuration: USB port plugged into a powered HUB, the HUB power was not measured above and because it was powered from a separate wall plug the consumption of the storage and external WiFi adapter was not measured. It should not mater but for accuracy the RF output feeds a 2 watt amplifier also powered from a separate source and not included in the measurements above.

If anyone is interested in specifics I can run more tests in different configurations and or start a new thread.

Interesting... This is good to know :D

    thank you.

  9. Since my pineapple has connection to the net now. When installing the modules do i install them on the pineapple or the usb storage? What is the best pratice on this? Will it run better if it's installed on the pineapple or usb?

that's my next step after getting the pineapple up and running.

Its best to download modules and everything else onto the usb drive, because there is limited space on the pineapple... Some modules that I recommend you put on the internal storage is the network manager module and the wifi jammer module because you won't have the flash drive in when the wifi dongle is plugged in. (unless your using powered usb hub).

If your looking to format a usb flash drive for your pineapple, refer to the user manual.(page 25-27)

  10. I doubt that pwnpi is the issue, but I do remember seeing posts of people buying sd cards that don't work with the rpi. (i've read that sandisk sd cards don't work, don't know about any other companies)

I have 2 micro sd cards with adapters, both from kingston that work flawlessly with the rpi.

May I ask you try booting pwnpi on either of them and report the results?

Here are some issues I can show visually.

    DSC01306

    DSC01305

Looks like an effect of sd read/write speed. (wasn't sure about the side bar)

  11. Alright guys so I'm having difficulty with the particular sd card I have right now... I can show how to setup ssh to the raspberry pi, but vnc will be quite slow.

If you have a raspberry pi, can you recommend me to a sd card that is known to be working well with pwnpi?

    Thanks :D
