    Yes, that is true for the standard compile, but for the modified version of reaver1.4 it will change the mac for you. The output from the modified version looks like:

On the first try, reaver is using the client MAC "BC:99:47:B7:03:E9" (it is not a real MAC, I'm just using for the example), on the second, "BC:99:47:B7:03:E8", on the third, "BC:99:47:B7:03:E7". Well, after the use of the MAC "BC:99:47:B7:03:E0", reaver will start again on "BC:99:47:B7:03:E9".

    PS: At the least what it is doing is changing the mac address that it is reporting to the router.

    Okay so I had been testing Reaver and noticed that I was getting EAPOL Time Out errors with some routers. After doing some research I came up on a thread in the Reaver Wiki that had a modified Reaver 1.4 with Mac Changer option.

    Does the version of Reaver used with the MK4 (ipk) support Mac Changer? Also I am about to start testing this version but was wondering has already had any experience with this version? In other word did it help?

    I so enjoyed watching episode 1121 and not just because it was shot using the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Which I own ;-)), but because I saw what looked to be a soon to be released book on the Pineapple. Any idea on the price and release date?

    Hi,

    I am using a single usb cable and yes it gives enough voltage with a mounted USB. I have a mounted 16 gb PNY flash drive and all works fine. Below is a link to the "StarTech.com USB2TYPEM 3 Feet USB to Type M Barrel 5V DC Power Cable" I am using.

    It has enough juice for two, I have not tested to see how long it would last yet. rolleyes.gif That is a old Dlink DWL-G730AP. It will do Router, Client, or Access Point. Both are powered via USB connected to the Astro3

    UPDATE: I can safely say that the Astro3 has powered both devices for 10 hours now and still has power left, even if I don't know how much juice is remaining. biggrin.gifI am stopping the test now as the result is good enough for me.

    I'm a little disapointed in the battery offering in the hakshop. I waited and waited for Darren to "tim-the-toolman" the bejesus out of that battery pack.

    Are you using a single usb or a "Y" cable and both ports to power it up? Does it give enough voltage with a USB mounted? This has more juice per $, I'd spend less if I bought 2 of these Ankers, and have more power. Thank you kindly sir.

    Mk4 2.3.1 Release

    Hey everyone,

    This new 2.3.0 release adds a couple more connectivity features alongside other things:

    • More Alfa USB support (rtl8187)
    • Android USB tethering
    • Stealth mode added (ICMP packet dropping)
    • UI and bugfixes

    For anyone that downloaded 2.3.0, please scp 2.3.1 to the /tmp/ directory of your pineapple and execute:

    Wireless Usb Adaptor (awus036n) Compatibility

    Hi, I just wanted to which AWUS036N ALFA product was the most compatible with the mark 4 and linux in general (for pentesting purposes)?

    The Alfa AWUS036NHR seems to have the best specs but I've read there are some problems with the monitor mode. Which model do you recommend? Cheers

    I am looking at getting this Alfa as well, can you tell me what problems with monitor mode it had? It was my 1st choice, the 2nd being AWUS036NHA

    Hello,

    It's been a while now and I just wanted to know has anyone tried this (Anker Astro2 Dual USB 8400mAh) battery pack with the Mark IV? Does it work or not? I know spec wise that it should, but I would rather get a sure thing. Oh and does anyone have the amazon URL for the New Trent 11mAh battery pack.

    Mk4 Firmware 2.1.0 Release

    Also the pinning of the urlsnarf pins but if you click on the new tab, it cycles over and over never showing you the urlsnarf page.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    Yes I am getting it as well in the Chrome and Firefox browsers using Ubuntu 12.04
