  1. Thanks for the update. Let's wait and see what Darren has been cooking
  2. Thanks for the tips. Are there any significant differences between using the teensy and the "official ducky"? Is the performance the same, are there any limitations?
  3. I've suggested the opening of a hak5 european shop to Shannon, let's wait for her answer.
  4. Hi there, Is there any tutorial to help people "build their own ducky"? Shipping costs to europe are prohibitive, that's why I don't purchase one. I've read something about turning an arduino into a ducky but the information is not very explicit. Has anyone got any tips for me?
  5. Have you tried building your own? It's very easy, just check mrprotocol's tutorial: http://wifipineapple.com/?flashing
  6.    That's why. For people living in the old continent is quite expensive to ship it here. The sipping cost is almost the same price of the equipment.
  7. Is there any European Hak5 fan willing to sell his ducky?
  8. Hi there you guys, Can someone give me a hand? I'm using the WebBrowser componente in c# to display a pdf file within and app. The pdf is stored within a database and when I need to show it to the users I save it to the local harddrive with a specific name "mytool.pdf", whenever i try to load a different tool in the app I delete the existing file and replace it with the new one. I used to use the AXAcropdf component to show the file and my program worked perfectly. I just got some errors with an update of adobe's pdf reader that made me change to the WebBrowser component. Is there any way I can prevent WebBrowser component from locking the file?

  10. Hi there everyone, I found this really good article on ars technica regarding some tools that crackers are using today and ways of securing your passwords . Check it out.
  11. I took the job because I knew I could do it, I just need a little bit more info so I can finish the project. I'm waiting to get some tutoring from behalf of the organization I work in and was trying to take that extra step so I can "show" some work.
  12. Another goof mod would be o use a PIR IR Alarm sensor, gut it and put the pineapple inside it. I would be quite easy to hang it in a hall or corridor and it would not look suspicious to most part of the people. This would be a great pen-testing tool for security auditors.
  13. That's great news. Keep us up to date on your pen-testing.
  14. Hit here, Thanks for the tip, I'll talk to the management and make sure they want to invest in it. If there's a free option it would be much appreciated.
  15. Yes, usb pass-through is setup correctly, because I'm able to detect the alfa on my BT5. I'll try disconnecting my Mac from the AP(what a noob).
  16. Hi there you guys, I recently tried to use reaver from BT5 inside a VirtualBox VM im MACOSX. I have an alfa awus036h connected to by BT5 and it is detected correctly. I can put the interface in monitor mode and use airodump-ng to view all the wireless networks. Whenever I try to use reaver in my AP I can get associated and then nothing else happens. I use the followong command to try reaver out: reaver -i mon0 -b AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA -vv I should be getting some output like: Trying pin 12345678 Trying pin 12345679 ... But after having associated to the AP it doesn't send any WPS requests. What am I missing?
  17. Hi there, I was recently hired by a company to implement ISO 27001. I have no experience with this norm, after having read a lot of documentation I started by creating the ISMS Scope Definition, the Inventory of Information assets and an ad hoc risk assesment. I already got some templates from http://www.iso27001security.com/, got the iso27001 and iso27002 norm, I also started reading the "IT Baseline Protection Manual" to be used as a more structured risk analysis tool. Can anyone point me to any nice other tools or docs to help me do this task?
  18. I believe it means a clean install of openwrt. Just by looking at the "welcome screen" when you ssh into it, if it "greets" you with the openwrt "logo" you have confirmation, other wise I have no idea how you can check that out, maybe try uname -a ?!?!
  19. Hi there, I also bought my alfa from crucial wifi and I can confirm it doesn't have openwrt on it. I had to flash mine.
  20. I'm not he best guy to respond to this question maybe Darren or another more experienced user should respond but you just have to give the pinneaple the "juice" that is marked as output on the transformer that comes with the equipment.
