  1. Hi, Just looking for some advice on using python pickle to create an authentic looking filesystem for cowrie, has anyone experience of this? I have run the createfs.py script from the cowrie utils folder and created a fake filesystem based on the systems filesystem, however this wont be great as their are a fair few clues that it is a honey pot (the user called cowrie, the cowrie folder etc etc.). Thanks in advance.
  2. This is the route I went, worked out much cheaper for me. Bear in mind that to do this you will need to have a 3.3v UART to USB adaptor so that you can flash the firmware (as it does not come with openwrt on it). There is a step by step guide elsewhere on here for flashing the firmware onto an AP-121U, or Hornet-UB for that matter. [edit] Here is the link to the guide, you need to follow the clean flash (serial) guide.[/edit]
  3. Could someone please link me the kernel.bin and root.fs for the initial flash as the links on the mk4 firmware page just give me a dropbox 404 page. Also the link on the alfa site for the hornet files (ftp://61.221.104.183/Download/Firmware/Hornet-UB.zip) is invaild too. Interestingly though, replace ftp with http and it takes you to a login page for a synology NAS.
  4. Just to follow on from this CrucialWifi are now selling the AP121U and Hornet as they have both finally received CE certification. Unfortunately, however, the official UART Console cable from Alfa is not CE certified so you can't get it in the EU (I checked with CrucialWifi if it was available and that was their reply). Which sucks. So a different option for flashing the boards via a console cable will be needed for UK/EU users who go this route instead of buying from the hakshop.
