same thing here have tried almost every thing to fix it and no luck best bet buying another one they arnt that expensive but if you find a way yell out i have broken 2 of them

I was going to order that one, but the dimensions that were posted on Amazon would make it too large to fit in the case with cables plugged into it. After seeing someone who had bought one and put it in his 1050 case, it looks like it'll fit just fine, and the dimensions on Amazon are wrong. I still like that the 8400mHa version gives me plenty of room to work and run my extra cables.
woops I didn't even stop to thing about the size. but I am just going to get the 10000mHa, as I have plenty of room to work with and it gives me the 12v option for running all the usb stuff.

1x Anker 8400mHa - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0067TQQI8/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
wouldn't this one be better as you can have a higher voltage so the pineapple will run smoother? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGKR54

Isn't that the original port?
-
Hey there I was playing around and I forgot what I set the port to is there any way of finding that out when I ssh in to it ?
-
On further review it seems that your Swap and USB drive may work but you just can't see that from SSH???
yer well i did all that and i have reformatted it 2 times and when i issue:
mount | grep /usb
it says that there is only the mount point /dev/sda1
-
Maybe try a re-flash without the USB inserted?
Do you remember if you had it plugged in or not during the last upgrade you did?
no i didnt have it in
-
already tried that and it come up with /dev/sda1 and i tried swaping it and it didnt work ?
-
and yer i did follow it and it was working fine before i upgraded it looks like the partitions are not working as i tried mkswap /dev/sda
-
You followed this? http://forums.hak5.o...showtopic=25882

just type
cd /usb
[/CODE]Of course when you have a USB flash installed that is formatted in EXT4
that is what i was doing and i even did
cd ..
ls
and there was no usb file and i have my usb in there with EXT4
-
dont no if it is just me but i can't find the /usb file when i ssh and i also tied to issue mkswap /dev/sda2 and it said it cant find it. this has all happened since i updated to 2.7.0
-
You didn't accidentally plug in the 5v line did you?
no it was 3.3v i took a picture and all and i looked at it then and it was on the right ones
-
So have you successfully flashed it now?
If not, and you are saying that with ONLY power connected (no serial, usb, ethernet) you get not LEDs, I would say your hornet-ub board is broken.
Best Regards,
Sebkinne
yer i think that it is broken as well i was just checking that it was fixable but do you have any idea why it would have done that is it the board that i brought
-
Hey Gazzdingo,
Could you please give further details as to what your issue is?
Is this just the PCB? Has it got OpenWRT on it?
Are you trying to "clean flash" (serial) it? If so, what UART device are you using?
Does the hornet-ub board power on at all? Do the lights come on when you just connect power to the board? Do they turn off once you plug in the serial connectors? If so, sounds like your wiring is wrong.
As you can see, supplying further details is beneficial. Please do so in the future.
Best Regards,
Sebkinne
clean flashed it via serial with this board http://www.ebay.com/itm/160765044944?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648 i also had 3.3v in tx rx swaped over because hornet-ub had the pins on the over side and then the gnd in to gnd so every thing was pluged in correct and no lights are working what so ever
-
whent to flash a hornet ub board and i checked that every thing was pluged right like 5 time and all the lights turned off ?? please help
Which Modules do you prefer/recommend to have installed on the Pineapple (internal)?
in WiFi Pineapple Mark IV
Posted
hi boba fett, what I would do is go out and buy a USB hub, make sure it does not have any power feedback (http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/28781-usb-hub/). this way you can have all the modules you want on the pendive and sill be using the Wifi Adapter.
I recommend you use this one: Anker
