  1. Yup,

    Next version.

    Thanks!

    Edit:

Actually, you cannot fully shut down the pineapple. The PWR and USB (if plugged in) will still light up, along with the WPS button.

You will not really damage the pineapple by pulling the power cable either. So I suppose this may not actually get implemented at all.

    Regards,

    Seb

So even tho you haven't giving the command poweroff, you can pull the cord? And all is good!?

  2. sorry If you tried this already, any luck with the 12 volt adapter the pineapple comes with? are you powering it with usb 5volts?

    Following Darens post.

I was having issues after changing the fstab configuration, I would ssh into pineapple issue command mkswap /dev/sda2

No such file found. blah blah. I did what perterfm posted above and used the original power supply, all is well now.

I was using the usb power cable by the way. Thanks peterfm!

  3. Glad to hear, I tried to make it as detailed as I could without being a complete spoon feed :P. Linked all the tools I used in the description, did some time snipping, etc. Took about 2 hours to make and edit.

Yep you did a great job.

The only thing I seen that was weird was when trying to use winscp, there would be a couple of retrys while coping the files over but that was it.

  4. Hmm, MD5 seems to match so not really sure. Easy fix is to get a TTL/UART cable that does 3.3V and flash that way. I don't really know what could have happened. My MD5 sum is actually different and I'm not sure why. I will try to flash with my version of 1.0.2 and see if it works.

Wait... I was looking at the wrong file. Please wait...

4c476e1072b188c2b009d5c8f996faf2 is the correct MD5 hash for 1.1.1

let me try flash from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 and see if that works.

I went from firmware 1.0.2 and flashed with 1.1.1 via webgui and all seems to be working. It takes a bit to actually get connected via the browser (new tab).

All I can suggest is purchase a USB-TTL adapter cable and I can walk you through it, you can watch the video I made, or follow the text instructions.

I wouldn't mind checking out that video Nice I'm gonna get into it just found the video, I'm gonna go search for that USB TTL/UART cable right now, I like the USB part about it. Curious I seen a link to this one on these forums I believe Developer Kit for Hornet-UB: Console cable & console board If this one will work can a cable like this one help me usb to serial. Any kind of links to some reads on tftp servers would be cool I started yesterday to look into it.

  5. sorry if it looks like I am posting here a lot.

    Still on mark4 v1.0.2

BUG: refresh link at bottom of log tab does not refresh.

And a question if anyone can answer?

How can I make the WPS button script toggle between enabling and disabling dnsspoof?

here is what i used to enable dnsspoof:

    php /www/pineapple/startdnsspoof.php

The first day I got my pineapple iv I went here pineapple wiki but looks like the wps button guide changed. Made for more functionality.

  6. Sebkinne?

I have a question and a couple ideas

    when I add

    ifconfig wlan0 down
    macchanger -r wlan0
    ifconfig wlan0 up

to the startup script at the very top before wifiled It does not seem to change the mac of wlan0?

odly if i check the log it shows that the mac was changed?

and my ideas/hopes for the firmware are:

a place to edit the mac address of wlan0 in the ui.

and when you change the ssid inside the ui, have it stick after reboots

I am on 1.0.2 and have karma autostart.

    thank you again:-)

For now if you need a persistent ssid you can find it under /etc/config/wireless

    near the bottom

    option ssid pineapple
