  1. This post may help you: Also, I have changed my pineapple's default configuration for wlan1 to startup in client (station, sta) mode. http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/wireless
  2. Take a look at airserv-ng. I have used the program to setup a wireless antenna for access remotely from BT. You would use IPAddress:Port in place of the interface name under this scenario. The setup I used was with OpenWRT and the aircrack suite. http://www.aircrack-...p?id=airserv-ng
  3. I'm having this problem with my Cruzer Fit 16GB. I was testing the aircrack suite by capturing packets to the USB drive. I think the Pineappple became unresponsive at some point, and I'm guessing it may have rebooted. It's possible there was an open file stream to the USB when it rebooted. When I looked at the drive in Ubuntu, the first partition was still created but the 2nd partition (swap) seemed to have been deleted. The whole drive was read-only and I could not format the swap partition. I stopped there as I didn't want to format the drive just yet. Not sure what to do... Pico drives huh?
  4. I was comparing the two batteries as they are very close in specs. I do like the Astro3's dual 2.1A USB vs the dx.com bsttery's dual USB 1A & 2.1A. It was the battery dimensions and lower price that convinced me that the dx.com would do the trick. My only concern is the product's quality as it's sometimes hit or miss when ordering from dx.com. I plan on using a Pelican case 1050 to house my pineapple at some point and I was trying to match the dimensions of the Pineapple juice (3.3 x 2.3 x .5) as closely as possible as a reference. dx.com battery Dimensions: 3.86 in x 2.76 in x 0.83 in Anker Astro3 Dimensions: 4.9 x 2.9 x 0.9 inches
  5. Thanks for the info. I should have added, the second test I tried was the ping test you described. I have the same setup working so far with the Alfa Passive PoE powered by the pineapple power supply.
  6. Powering the Pineapple with the provided power adapter (12V 1A), I'm using this 2-port hub with the following two devices connected: SanDisk 16GB Fit and the Alfa AWUS036NHA. While I feel that I am on the edge of power dropping to either device, I have not noticed any real problems yet. I did a brief test: I ran "airodump-ng wlan1" in the AWUS036NHA to make sure it was active. I then read files from the USB drive. I was able to do both without a problem. I am using a very short USB cable from the hub to the AWUS036NHA. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HKIDF2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
  7. I just purchased this battery. It is labeled as a 12000 mAh but is actually 10000 mAh. A little dodgy I know, but at least they caught and listed the error. For $30 it's worth a shot. Capacity 12000 mAh, Actual: 10000 mAh Output Voltage 5 V Output Current 1000/2100 mA Dual USB (1000/2100 mA) http://www.dealextre...sp-white-141927
