  1. Hello, I have a powered USB HUB and I am afraid of destroying my pineapple with it. The reason is if I have no power on pineapple and I connect the USB HUB that is plugged into mains I see the LED in Pineapple turn on. I connect the back side of the hub, the part that usually connects to PC USB (not the front USB) So I am surprised that there is power coming out. I am afraid if I connect the hub and the pineapple to mains I will destroy the pineapple. So is this normal? Can I just connect? Thanks for help
  2. ...... No that does not do anything. Could I have a power problem ? My setup is the 3G modem is connected directly in USB port of Pineapple and the Pineapple is powered by a 12V 2A power supply any Ideas ? Thanks

  10. Hello, you need to bridge the two ethernet ports. Have a look here how that is done: http://www.irongeek....ge-ubuntu-linux Rgds
  11. Richy, I would take one that has 12V output the "mAh " tells you the battery pack will last longer the bigger the number is. I am saying to use the 12V as if you at one point want to use a 3G dongel they have an issue running on only 5V as the USB port usually have. You can read some posts here in the forum were people had issues with only 5V with 3G dongles connected to the pineapple and the pinapple running on only 5V battery packs.
  12. well what you need to do is connect the POE from the pineapple to any Lan port of the router. But your main problem is the IP setup you are having. this will not work. You could put your home router on IP 172.16.42.42 or you will need to adjust the pineapple to the IP of your home network. after that you should be good to go /webdirector
  13. Hello Can you please post exact installtion instructions ? Thanks

  16. Hello, I also purchased the " M Barrel" the only thing putting me off a bit is the dimensions, mine said 0,9mm and your says "OD:5.50, ID: 2.10". But the M barrel must be a standard and that fit into my Mark IV. Rgds
  17. Hello Kavenbert, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried out what you suggested and tried several variation of it but with no luck But thanks for pointing this out Rgds
  18. I guess the issue is that the E398 are not supported as it is not in the list from Darren. I guess Amazon got me. As said I ordered the E353 ( it also says that on package )but the pineapple recongnize it as teh E398. So i Guess the lesson learned is not to buy the E353 I will buy a E173 as it seems to work for the others. Thanks
  19. I was just looking under Darrens list and I found this for E353 I am just wondering witch product ID I should use ? the 0f01 or the 14db or a mix ? and also why is it when I do lsusb showing me the 1506 ? ####################################################### # Huawei E353 (3.se) # # Contributor: Ulf Eklund DefaultVendor= 0x12d1 DefaultProduct=0x1f01 TargetVendor= 0x12d1 TargetProduct= 0x14db MessageContent="55534243123456780000000000000a11062000000000000100000000000000" # Driver is cdc_ether NoDriverLoading=1

  22. Hello, I am using a Huawei E353 brand new from Amazon it had all seal untouched. I am saying this as when I insert the 3G Modem and LSUSB I get: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 12d1:1506 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E398 LTE/UMTS/GSM Modem/Networkcard So it is showing a E398 instead of the E353. Up until version 1.1.0 I had no issues using it with the pineapple. But now with version 1.1.1 It does not work anymore. This is what i was using: #!/bin/sh # --------------------------------------------------------- # 3G Connection Script for WiFi Pineapple. 24. Hello, In windows i have this: I copied "program.bat" and "duck.hex" on to C: I then opened a terminal window and typed in " program.bat duck.hex" The "bat" file executes but stops with the following error message: " The command "batchisp" is either written wrong or could not be found " In Linux I have this: I put the script above into a file called duck.sh ( and made it executable) I then ran " sh duck.sh Duck.hex " I got the following output: Erasing... sudo: dfu-programmer: command not found Failed to erase So also in Linux no luck has anybody been able to flash the ducky ? Thanks
