This is from a dell win8 recovery cd after the hard drive has been overwriten with random bit patterns. I have a customer that is convinced her pc locks her out of the administrator acct. Sets up restrictive group policies. She if trying to convince me her entire hard drive is shared. I said you have a windows password you cant see a windows share on the other side of a router. She cant change her work group. Windows commands are not reconized as internal or external commands like ipconfig or sfc. She did find virtumonde. Null drivers for printers and network adapters. group policy object for sharing her entire drive. The only thing we found is virtumonde and maybe a keystroke logger. Is virtumonde a keystroke logger.

I think I have done better with image writter for ubuntu to late to remember actualy set one up 3 hours ago. It to is not the right or best way. The command line way works better and is good to have in case you need to make a windows usb bootable installer. That is faster than a cd any way. I find booting from the cd works better when you have issues uefi.

cool I downloaded the iso and used unetboot to make a bootable usb. I tried it in my netbook It worked, but it was a little slow. I could not ping or trace anything. Then I tried the same thing with a laptop. To do this I disabled intel speed step, secure boot. Set the boot list to legacy. It worked it is cool. I have an angry birds thing on my key chain with a flash drive in it. This must be why they lock the bios down on computers. When I went to oogle or acebook they wanted me to verify who I am. Google search engine wanted me to verify I was not a robot. My first experience with tails and my first real exp with tor.

I print documents like crazy is it okay to use a tablet or a wacom thingy hooked to my laptop. There is another signature thing to I cant remember what it is called. There are apps for android and I devices to sign pdfs. I know a funeral home I setup pc;s for used them. Does anyone use a system like this? This would be a huge time saver no more scanning documents. I do other things to besides it stuff take pictures of things for insurance companies. You guys should look into this it is easy. I figured something out try something disable the hard drive in the bios. Boot from a live cd/dvd see if the customer still thinks she has problems. If not problem solved if yes send her to the south park or what ever mental center. Problem solved.

The key issue is juniper and seven vpn are installing themselves. My laptop is stuck in airplane mode after I reloaded the dell cd. People are installing stuff on y computer ah what do I do. This is after I overwrote the hard drive with 0's and did the re-load. If she has a problem after running the ubuntu live cd the issue is up stairs.

I had a paranoid lady that went through a divorce and was convinced her x was spying on her. From research and past experience with people this tends to point towards substance abuse or Obsessive compulsive disorder. Even some other problem up stairs. I just try to show them what is going on. Show them how to use dban and run a dell recovery cd. Give them the option to use ubuntu or another flavor of linux. Told her how routers block traffic. Hey you are cool, the wireless can be fixed. The signal on the cable line is another story. This is what I was wondering about. Has anyone had a problem in tall buildings with low signal on the cable line. Low enough to cause your modem to drop a connection or cable light to go out. When you are 9 or 12 floors up and have a low signal on your cable tv line this is what causes some problems. The cable company should put a signal amplifier in. Again cooper you are cool.

I know I am in left field. I am wondering about this because I some accts i service use billing software. Right now they use dialup or T1. The current software is buggy it hangs on dialup and they have to resubmit. I spend hours troubleshooting. If it is setup right with sftp I think it will work better. What do you think. As it stands it does not work with a phone line on a cable modem "digital voice". It is spotty over the line connected to dsl. This is a type of edi software.

Has anyone had any issues or repeated service calls to go to for this kind of problem. I want to push the problem on the ISP. If you have a call to go to in a highrise that is 13 floors high and has a lot of tenants. I feel as there could be service related problems with signal on the cable companies end. Everyone has wifi I try to find the least used channel of 1,6,or 11. If there wireless router is more than 5 years old I mention it might be time to replace there router. What is the best direction to go in this situation?
