ok pulled the bat out and moved the jumper to clr com. i then tryed to update the bios and i just get this error error cannot use a bios in a mcafee, inc webshield. doing some reserch i found out that it is bast off a poweredge 1850 server, but they moded the bois. the server tag is 2vdc561. make is a dell model emu mfg date 12.01.04 any help is welcome and appreciated

ok put the hd in another server i have installed bk5 on it with no problem. however the mcaffe one will not boot up from it. however i can install and run smart-wall on it. its doing my head in now as after that i managed to install bk5 on it again and when i rebooted again it would not load off the hard drive. it keeps trying to load of a logical hd instead. i think i need a way to change the bios as this mcaffe one is stopping me doing anything with it. according to its service tag it is a Dell PowerEdge 1850 but it looks nothing like it from the pic lol. any help would be good as i am about ready to throw it out the window lol. thx ppl

thats what i was thinking however it has a mcaffee bios and when you try and put backtrack on it goes all the was up to booting the usb or cd then bam. you would think something just smashed the monitor as it just has load ov colours all over with the backtrack background. then it does nothing. tried a few diff programs now and still no luck. <_<

hi everyone. i have got my hands on a mcaffee webshield server. i would like to know if it is possible to wipe it and turn it in to a normal server so i can install a os on to it. if it can be done plz give infor or tut on how to do it. need a fresh mind on this now as its got my running up the walls lol. thx :D

ones again thx for all your replays. the reason i asked the question was after a film i wondered if it was pos to do it in real life so i ask some of my m8s that know way more stuff than me and they said that they did not know of anything. but it is theoretically possible but probably not. hope you get that lol. so i decided to ask on here as you all have helped me out with stupid question before and most ov the time the answers or really good and get me think in a different way or direction to completive my task. :P

i am not. what i meant is say you were theoretical hacking say a gov and they started a trace on you ip. is there a way a program can alert you that a trace is in progress as give you a estimate ov how long you have left before they completes the trace like in the game link? ps before you say anything i know it is illegal to hack a gov and i am not going to just was thinks after i played the game and it got me thinks is there any pos way to do it in real life. just for educational purposes. thx for your replays so far and no i am was not worried when you said you were tracing me lol.

so the simple answer is no there is nothing out there atm that will alert you when you or being traced. thx for your replies. I think this could be a good project to work on and a good security tool for them that or being stupid and braking the law lol. :D

hi everyone might just be me with my head in the clouds again, but is there anything out there that can tell you in real time if someone was traceing you. like what they have in the games and movies lol i know . or can anyone make a program to do it? :D

i already have a pentest lab. i have always fancied a supercomputer running backtrack that why i thought why not make a cluster with the servers that or just lying around. have a firewall and that already lol only thing i ant got is a supercomputer or cluster

hi everyone. right I would like to know of any good ways to get around wpa and wpa2 wifi that does not have any clients on to get the handshake from. i have my own test lab and would love to see if there is a way around the wpa/2 wifi crack if you dont get or have a handshake or if there is not clients on to kick off. lol thx
