I had the same issue. I decided to SSH into the router a manually view the config/script files. I found that after making a change via the web interface that a "^M" was being added to the end of every line. I simply removed the "^M" and everything worked fine. The config/script files are located at /overlay/www/pineapple/ Hope that helps.
