  1. I really thought I would see more fellow Linux desktops. *sigh* I will have to post up the pic of my windows box I guess.
  2. I have not had good luck doing this. But I am working with ATI hardware here... meaning the drivers explain how to tie the string inside the cups on both ends so it doesnt slip out... I pysically would switch up the moniters or just the cables... make it go like that, then move you moniters in windows (you can actually click on display 1..4 and slide them around on that blue area to change how they work) and adjust you machine accordingly that way.

  5. Well the PS1 : $200 PS2 : $300 PS3 : $600 So PS4 naturally $1200 But then again you can always ad on 4% a year for inflation. too
  6. Well I have a plan for revival, except this mod just turned into a hell of a lot more work than originally planned. Turns out I removed 1 too many layers of the keyboard after I got the steel plate off the back of the membrane area... and I had about hhrrmmm 104 or so springs go flying in every which direction...
  7. word 3.11 for workstations was the real dillio though! lol I miss the ski game where bigfoot eats you if you go over 2000 ft off course anyways, Vmware, with USB to Serial driver ftw
  8. no can't buckling keys are designed so much differently than silicon dome keyboard. Anyways I started this mod, and let me just say, don't try this mod. Dremils were used, mistakes were made. RIP IBM Model M 11-Feb-1984 to 4-Dec-2006 I am working on bringing him back, I can rebuild him, faster, stronger... hopefully. btw stop thread jacking you sons of a biatches
  9. nah my MS natural is perfect for my hands and my RSI, no pain at all, but I desire my loud and firm buckling spring keyboards ( I have like six model Ms) so I want to make the best of both worlds. Trust me I frequent FRY's all the time (for people who have never been to a FRYs, it is geek heaven, cheap prices, lots of weird niche shit, but shitty help so you gotta know what is up).
  10. I have a few IBM Model M Buckling spring keyboards laying around at home, I love them to death, but laitly my RSI has been acting up and I have had to use my MS Natural... but the keys are all shitty and squishy. I want to hack a Model M into a nautural shape. Tips? or Ideas for fabricating the case?
  11. same logic fat people don't desearve new stomach's if they get an alsure and it eats away the lining?

  13. better have the best mac address spoofer in the world... and be the most careful mofo in the world... because the feds are looking up your IP number now... it is best if you just get out of dodge right now.
  14. So are you part of the MD5 team that was interviewed in Season1 Episode 1? you know the EC2 cloud computer at Amazon might be something of interest... 10 cents an hour for some beafy server time use as many boxes as you need.
  15. Space is cheap now... my closet samba server for media for my XBMC and other things is made up of 2.0TB as one massive LVM mount on 4x sATA2/300 drives... shitty little 2800 Speteron processor... but still that whole box was built for like $800 at Fry's.... and that is retail.
  16. guess this definatly means no more un-drm music gift certificates for the trivia :-/
  17. more what I was going for is how the actual Gui look and such is, more so like Opera than Firefox, I mean it would be hard to tell the two appart now
  18. What grinds me, is I am planning on moving out of Palo Alto soon, and they have a whole city owned network of dark fiber that they plan on opening up to the public for fiber in every house, SBC is outside right now cutting up the sidewalk to bring it in :-/ oh well next town has free internet thanks to google I'm in the same area where are you moving too SF? Live on University now, probably moving to mt view or something... I wanna get a house with a few people. How about you??? You would think maybe the Aussie ISP's if the fact of the distance was the issue they would do something like our cell phone carriers do. Unlimited in network traffic (maybe unlimited in continent?) and like 400 Minutes (40GB) off shores content a month, before throttling offshores stuff. I dunno... I won't be moving across the pond any time soon.
  19. I was upgrading and reinstalling a laptop this morning and at the windows update site I updated to the new IE7. I usually use FF or Linx, so I never use IE that much. I must say though the new IE7 desktop icon is sooo worth the upgrade. ;-) You can tell someone at MS likes Opera though, the new IE copied the look and feel of Opera so bad, it isn't funny. Anyone else notice this?
  20. So I busted out a trick from on here yesterday. I went into the stationary supply closet and found a pad of mini post it notes, and went around and randomly tagged a few co-workers mice while standing and talking to them or at unsuspecting empty offices/cubes. Lets just say hilarity insued... The best part was, no one suspected it was me, simply because management doesn't have time for childish games like that ;-)

  22. Damn and I was pissing and moaning because ComCast charges $106 for my 12Mbps(d)/3Mbps(U) pipe :-/ I feel for you guys... college used to throttle bandwidth like that, 4GB per week
  23. This is what it was The guy used the ATM manufacture's default codes (typically triggered by a sequence, and the code is like 0987654321 or 1234567890 while holding down a key by the display) to go into the ATM machine, and tell it that cash tray one was all 5s. Even though it was 20s. So he used his PRE-PAY`d card (this is how he couldnt track him) (prepay credit cards and ATM cards are readily avalible for sale at corner stores and on the web), and withdrew $300... but seing as it thought it had fives in it, it had to spit out 4x the amount... thus he got a bonus 900 from the ATM machine. You can find PDF files describing the manufacture's default codes online in PDF file with some cleaver google searching, seeing as most companies have taken down the files since this happened... ONLY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE THE CASH MACHINE YOU BOUGHT IS SECURE AND THAT YOU HAVE RESET YOUR DEFAULT PASSWORDS... BOTH ADMIN AND THE ATTENDANT PASSCODES!!!! YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS DOWNLOADING AND READING THESE PDF's IF YOU DO NOT OWN THE MACHINE. /end legal notice.
