  1. Lies! All Lies!!! I want to see proof that you did that.
  2. Tsk, Tsk. You are damn lucky cops aren't reading this and subpoenaing for your IP, tracking your ass down... or perhaps, just perhaps there are cops among us who are doing such a thing.... I'm certain that this is not the only illegal activity you are involved in... such as botnets, taking down sites etc... logs are out there.... trust me. /me makes one step closer to agreeing to go to the police academy to catch pricks like you.
  3. I'll say what I know others are thinking: I think you are using this disability of yours as a crutch. I work with quite a few special education kids who have very similar issues and instead of wanting to be mean to their teachers, they work with their teachers. Also I know a lot of kids who are worse than what you claim to be, and they even do great in school. Here's what I think happened... and from experience I know I am more than likely right: You were put into a class you hate. You did not do your work. The teacher had to fail you for not doing your work. You are blaming the teacher for failing you. Since you have a disability, you are using that as an excuse. YOU have to at least try. That is all I have to say to YOU. I'm sorry if you think I'm being mean, but the fact of the matter is that you and you alone is responsible for your own actions. Teachers can sometimes forget to put in grades, but they usually catch it LONG before final grades are due.
  4. ok... you say you are disabled... that is fine. you should be considered a special education student. at least in Colorado and I'm pretty sure its everywhere else, you can get an Individual Education Plan from your special education teacher. This plan tells teachers what your limits are, and the teachers with your special ed teacher excuse you from doing hard work like that. does this make sense? if you are not in special ed, you should be. This is probably your parents fault if this is the situation, so there is no need to get revenge on the teacher that failed you.
  5. yeah... Im sure VaKo feels inexperienced, since he got the shaft. I too am not trying to make this an "I'm against this software" discussion, but the fact of the matter is that SMF was doing us just fine and had a lot better setup for administering it. With SMF... there was very little spam, if any at all... and with IPB, there seems to be quite a bit more of it. The moderators/admins do a great job of dealing with it, but they should not have to devote a lot of their time to that problem. I'll step off of my soap box now.
  6. wow... thanks for the links Justin! I knew of a few of those tools, but not all of them.
  7. The point I think that needs to be addressed, is regardless if you are MSCE, CISCO, or other certification, if you are adding devices to a network of any sort, you had better be looking at the bigger picture of overall security. Hell I'm only officially A+ Certified, but overall security of network devices is a concern for me. As Metatron stated, who in the hell would put a printer on a public IP address without securing it better? I know I wouldn't regardless of who wanted to print from out of the office. that's my 2 cents worth -Manuel
  8. /me seconds the *sigh* Dumb idiot kids will NEVER learn.
  9. oh that kind of lethal injection... I thought you meant you'd swallow the drive and hope it lethally inject you. Here's to hoping.
  10. You can do this with wolverine VPN from http://vortech.net/ (the site isn't loading for me atm, but its a decent product. Make the 192.168.2.0 network act like your WAN side. Let your 192.168.2.0 box become teh main gateway for both the 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.3.0 networks. -Manuel
  11. this new user reekon ( on IRC as Re3k0n ) posted this: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,886...1.html#msg91241 He basically sums up most of everything many of us have been trying to say.

    Punishment?

Bingo smoothCriminal!!!! That is how I got to where I am today.... until my senior year in high school I had minimal interest in computers and networking. They hired a new Tech Directory, he came in, asked for student assistants, I volunteered through the school year. I graduated, then that summer I worked in a paid internship, then they hired me on full time. I've been here 9 years now. The point is, rather than trying to one up the it people, who are usually smarter than you really think, help them. Yes, some IT people don't always know everything, but really who really does know 100% of everything in their field? not many, especially since technology (not just computers) is vastly changing how things are done. Good IT people, such as myself, or such as Mike (Azzid's Director of Technology) know a lot more than kids like Azzid gives us credit for.

    Punishment?

You are most certainly welcome.... Might I suggest stop lying, as they probably know that you are lying... and have ways to find out.
  14. Im going t refrain from my usual rant only because Im trying to be nicer.... but no, we will not help you hack/brute force/or otherwise.
  15. if you click on "live" from the main site, scroll down, you'll see: "Hak5Live 007 — UT DM" (or here is a direct link: http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp4?ht...-007--ut-dm.mp4 )
  16. I will try to do the same... I think the real problem is, so many people come in expecting others just to give them answers instead of trying to figure out themselves. I think rather than posting a flaming post, I will either try to not answer the question if I can't find a way to be nice. All I can really add, is to the new folks here, try to read the readme ( http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,7499.0.html ) and try to do a little bit of research on your own. Show us that you are willing to learn and try to answer your questions first; and we'll show you that we can try to work with you to help you get the answer.

    Punishment?

the act of encrypting things on a school's computers can be considered vandalism if its used to hide harmful or threatening applications/documents. I do not know exactly why it fits in this category other than what I stated, but all of the policies I copied from are legal wordings made by our attorneys and state department of education/state school board association. Huh? How is encryption in anyway related to vandalism?

    Punishment?

[me=manuel_l]can't fight the urge to not reply....[/me] You stubborn kid... I KNEW you were just the typical "I wanna pwn everything because its cool" kid. Be fucking glad that I'm not your school IT/Admin, because guess what? You'd have your Computer privileges Revoked for minimum of the remainder of the year (most likely one calendar year), suspended for at minimum of 10 school days. Since I'm From the same state you live in, I feel obligated to share with you a bit of our policy... which is more or less the same across the state.... meaning that you are royally screwed. (this is nowhere the complete policy, and is only SOME of the documentation that would be used to legally describe the suspension of privileges AND suspension from School.) (From Policy JS/JS-E) No student shall access, create, transmit, retransmit or forward material or information: · that is not related to district education objectives · in violation of any federal or state law, including but not limited to copyrighted material and material protected by trade secret · gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to district computers or computers systems · read, alter, delete or copy, or attempt to do so, electronic communications of other system users Security: Security on district computer systems is a high priority. Students who identify a security problem while using the LAN, Internet or electronic communications must immediately notify a system administrator. Students should not demonstrate the problem to other users. Logging on to the LAN, Internet or electronic communications as a system administrator is prohibited. Any user identified as a security risk, or as having a history of problems with other computer systems, may be denied access to the LAN, Internet and electronic communications. Vandalism: Vandalism will result in cancellation of privileges and may result in school disciplinary action and/or legal action. Vandalism is defined as any malicious or intentional attempt to harm, destroy, modify, abuse or disrupt operation of any network within the school district or any network connected to the Internet, operation of any form of electronic communications, the data contained on any network or electronic communications, the data of another user, usage by another user, or district-owned software or hardware. This includes, but is not limited to, the uploading or creation of computer viruses and the use of encryption software. Unauthorized software: Students are prohibited from using or possessing any software that has been downloaded or is otherwise in the user's possession without permission from the District Technology Department including appropriate registration and payment of any fees owed to the software owner. (From Policy JICDA ) 1. Causing or attempting to cause damage to school property or stealing or attempting to steal school property of value. 19. Interference with the school’s ability to provide educational opportunities to other students. There are many more, which your building principal/assistant Principal/Superintendent will reference, but I THINK you get the idea... So I say again, you are royally screwed.
  21. dumb kids... they think WE are the ones that are DUMB.
  22. ok, let me rephrase then... THIS idiot is smart enough to know that the usb bullshit is not worth the trouble, so I don't want t deal with it.
  23. basically get the point already... not many idiots want to deal with this shit.
  24. WE don't help people hack... that's like rule number 0 or 1 or something like that.
