  1. Works great, but one question, how to do set the UTC offset for the automatic time servers update?
  2. Do you have Karma running? Without Karma running it wont respond to other SSIDs
  3. Was going to warn you about the WAN port, I made that same mistake
  4. I'm on firmware 1.1.1. I just re-reflashed my pineapple, and am able to get the connection to share from the PoE Lan port. I am still getting nothing on my WAN/Lan port though.
  5. And looking and the Pineapple site (172.16.42.1/pineapple) I noticed that the WAN/LAN port has an IP address populated and it's pingable, but there is nothing plugged into that port in the back...only the PoE port with the 172.16.42.42 address configured and pingable and the WAN light on the pineapple is lit. Now I'm confused.
  6. I'm sorry if I mispoke or didn't explain myself clearly. I get the concept of the pineapple getting the internet from the PC, I just think I explained it horribly. I should have used PC1 and PC2 to clarify the ICS testing steps. I used PC1 (with ICS) to share a connection to PC2 to confirm that PC1 was sharing the internet connection (and there were no problems there). I then detached from PC2 and plugged PC1 (with ICS) into the pineapple PoE Lan port. Confirmed that both the pineapple and PC1 could see eachother (by pinging). Then I had PC2 wirelessly connect to the pineapple and see if I could get it to server up internet to PC2 (victim). If what I am saying seems still like total nonsense, then maybe I do have a horrible understanding...and will just do some more reading. Let me know if that makes sense.
  7. I thought that may be a similar issue, but when I took the connection off to pineapple, and plugged into a normal home router, the PC attached to that was able to get internet. Tracert confirmed that it was using the ICS connection to get to the web.
  8. I switched it over to the POW port, and while I can ping from the pineapple to the 42.42 address, and from the 42 address to the pineapple, it doesn't forward internet traffic through it. I even flashed the pineapple to just make sure there was no software issues. I confirmed the internet sharing was enabled and working. Any other advice?
  9. I am using the WAN\LAN port on the pineapple.
  10. Hey Guys, Got my first pineapple this week (MkIV), I was attempting to set up a tethered connection for the pineapple to use. I set the local address to 172.16.42.42, to be the gateway to the internet, and set up ICS to that connection, but it's not connecting. On the Windows machine, I can't ping 172.16.42.1 and from the pineapple, I can't ping .42 (the gateway). Any suggestions on what troubleshooting steps I can take?
