They are pretty tame for wild birds. We feed em mince meat every now and then.

I killed the spam on my IPB by doing the following PHP stuff: - Modified the captcha image. To hinder the bots that are auto programmed to decode IPB captchas. - Made a few If statements to stop spam posts. The bots were always using a :) as the post icon, < 5 days old, < 5 posts. So i just made a mod to the post.php to not allow posts matching that and it worked :) I also made it so if it was a loose match, maybe the icon wasnt there...i just made the post unapproved so it would have to be approved or deleted by an Admin or Mod. As for quality...it will have to be good. I think the voting idea is good. Then from there I guess the owner of the segment ships a full quality vers on a DVD or CD...not sure how long the postage will take XD

Well the user content WONT be relied on by the guys :P Just something interesting to put more hak.5 on for the rest. Any comments from Dazza or Wess?

I was thinking that some hak.5 users could send in some video segments for the next epp. Like you would have to do it in your genre i.e. mine would be on website design and I would show how to set up an Apache PHP server. I would make one for sure :) Also I guess some users could do some funny adverts to fill some gaps in the segments. What do you all think?

If your using it with a dual monitor check out all the settings in the Prefs...theres some good ones. Like the positioning function of the screen...simple but cool :P

As for myself...its quite a long list: HTML CSS PHP Javascript (incl AJAX) Actionscript (Flash) SQL XML ASP (not using it anymore...I prefer PHP) As for proggies: Dweaver 8 Flash 8 PS CS (my works copy) Adobe GoLive (my works copy) Good 'ol Notepad I have been going into web dev for about 6 years now and theres quite a lot there to prove it. My first job I ever got, which is my current one at 16 years old, is working as a Website and Database Developer at a design firm. Not flipping burgers or stacking shelves :P So theres the light at the end of the tunnel...you now need to walk to it :) W3Schools is my bible along with Google. Also http://php.net has a detailed list of all its functions.

Heres something in theory. You get a kit like this: http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KJ...mp;SUBCATID=695 And then buy a bunch of good, high intensity leds. Then somehow (im no electronics guy) hook all of the LED's to all of the LED ports. So if 3 LED ports are activated (sound level 3) then there will be more power to the leds and hence more light. If its on 1 port (sound level 1) then there is less power and less light. Then just hook up your MP3 to the level meter and your ready to go. This, in theory, should work. I hope this can maybe be explained better by a more technical person.

A simpler solution....hang around with the IT guys and with time you may get access to their 'un-blocked' proxy. I have :) Not only will u have unblocked internet but a valuable IT resource if u need any help. Im not sure what other school IT guys are like...mine are cool :P
