Hey nice one Sebkinne, i'll check that out. Maybe that will be a nicer way to do things anyway. Am I correct in assuming that hostapd uses the ath5k driver rather than madwifi? As for jasager, I think that's the end of the line for me with that now on the OM1. Thought my issues would be solved once I got the serial connection going and could see what was actually happening. Having flashed it with both the open-mesh-flash utility and with Robin's recommended procedure using Reboot and TFTP i'm stumped. I may just shell out for a pre-built pineapple if I can't get hostapd working either! Feels like a massive fail though :(

I'm having this exact same issue with the OM1 and the jasager firmware. I can see the same error when I boot with the serial cable attached. Did you find a resolution to the problem?

Hi DigiNinja, I feel like i'm pretty late to the party in many respects, but would love to get Jasager or your patched version of hostapd working with Backfire and the OM1. I've been reading around the forum and your own website over the last week, and also trying to get my head around building packages for Openwrt. Still not quite there though! I wondered if you could point me in the right direction for getting the patched karma hostapd working with Backfire? Good articles where I can go get the info i'll need to set things up. Much appreciated, and thanks for all your good work :) Cheers Chris
