  1. +1 It never ceases to amaze me how people come on here, ask for help and then argue the point. You say you are a person who knows nothing about computers, yet cannot accept the most straight forward and logical tips. I also wonder what your browser habits, data you have backed up's cleanliness (virii, spyware etc) and the sources of not only your OS but other applications you install.
  2. We have a separate wifi lan with a net connection for us in the it department to use with private machines, but we don't connect them to the corporate network.
  3. Yeah it's ridiculous, why even have different level machines? All the Level 4 permissions should be permissions the user has. Your whole IT structure needs to be overhauled.
  4. This is instant dismissal in my opinion, and I am unsure as to how a end user should have the ability to log into a "level 4" system with permissions to even do anything bad. You let it go you will set a precedent for other idiots who pull the same stuff. I have been physically threatened at work because i have deleted movies and music off PC's. I don't give a fuck. They sign the user agreement, the commit to the policy in a legal and binding way, they have no recourse. Companies just don't have the balls to enforce shit. Put a copy of the user agreement on her desk, with the rules that she broke highlighted and that the equate with dismissal. Giver her notice, but disable her account till she come face to face with management to face the music. Mercy is for the week. Cobra Kai
  5. If you are going to encrypt the data you sure as fuck should know the password. I am suss on the IT dept not even thinking of resetting the password for the domain account. Smells like BS to me, or you truly have the dumbest cunts on earth working there.
  6. Yeah it is pretty addictive lol.
  7. There are still people who haven't heard of conky?
  8. Those quick and nasty scripts do have one positive side, it helps people see the barebones of scripting. Those with some initiative will quickly decide to ramp up on what has already been done and make things better. Those that don't aren't going to care how the scripts are written as long as they work.
  9. I love mine, 2 guys from the local LUG have them as well. Worth every cent.
  10. Well most people I know that support them are "racist", but prefer the term racialist. They are a little smarter than just blaming immigrants too. I'm not going to pretend I know the intricacies of English politics, but even reading news articles about the country from left wing media still paints a pretyy sad picture to me. It also seem to be the path that Australia is seeking to go down, and I'm not very happy about that.
  11. It pretty well sucked with the BNP not winning a single seat. England is in a bad bad way.
  12. I think you're giving alot of end users way more credit than they deserve.
  13. We are getting a fair bit of rain off it in Rockhampton. AFAIk it dropped to a category 2 before it crossed the coast.
  14. Any other followers of the greatest club on earth on here?
  15. Most source games can be run on linux, i play cs:source all the time.
  16. For the guys who dont have the time to install arch. I know it's not the same but I think it's a good thing. From the makers of crunchbang. Archbang Default install
  17. Normal stairs and I only pulled that particular trick off maybe 6 times ever. I could do most of the basic grinds and slides, learned to heelflip kinda ok but then somehow lost the ability to kickflip.Last trick i had kinda down ok was bluntslide, but all my mates were heaps better than me. They could easily heelflip into 5-0 grind etc.Stil got my board downstairs, if it wasnt so hot and I didnt have the flu, i would be tempted to go for a roll.
  18. This is a much better idea, plus some sort of online scoreboard to report back to.
  19. I used to skate up until a few years to go, ntohing spectacular though. Kickflipping a 10 stair was probably the pinnacle of my skating career lol.
  20. I don't use firefox so I guess i dodge that one too.
  21. U have done it a few times and have owned a real apple as well. Mac OSX is pretty, but I feel generally an OS for people who don't know how to use computers. There, I said it. On the subject, a legit now leopard disc inserted after empire efi bot disc has had 100% success rate for me, including 3d acceleration for my 9800GT. I had issues with the other variations and kernel extensions not specific to my devices.
  22. +1 How about a windows box that sets off a tactical nuclear device whenever a dumb forum post is made?
