  1. A lot of web based e-mails out there offer SMS alerts when certain e-mails are recieved. Thinking about coding a similar thing with something like: Check every 30mins { If e-mail recieved. Get VoIP "softphone" to prank (2 rings) mobile phone in contact list. } Could probably be done using scripts (no code compilation required), but wouldn't know where to begin. *Have a vague clue of how SMTP, POP... works.*Not much clue on how web based authentication systems work, like if you can simply write a PHP script to login/logout + check e-mails. *Perhaps Asterix is the best option for the softphone? Will get around to doing this, after exams. But if others know of similar tools/code already available, that'd be great. Cheers.
  2. wtf is up with Blender's user interface? Never coded in python, must be some weird window library.
  3. Screw getting laid! I'd rather play Leisure Suit Larry all night long :) We need to do the world a favour and stop reproducing. Companionship is fine, but that should be it.
  4. Economic Left/Right: -5.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.15 LOL, I especially liked answering: "Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all." Strongly agree! :D Coming from Aus, I had to imagine I lived in the USA for some of the questions. lol, you can't be naturally homo, classic!
  5. Living in a society where: * Stealing from the poor to make the rich richer * Red carpet celebrities are more important than the poor and hungry * Government agencies decieve their own people "for the own benefit" That is what democracy is all about isn't it?
  6. This is an interesting topic because locking mobile phones, handheld consoles, etc is really annoying and just a way for the retailer to "force" you to keep to their network/service (i.e. you can't sell it later to other people unless they want the same provider). I have a similar problem involving my Navini wireless modem, which is locked to one of Unwired (an ISP in Australia) re-sellers called Exetel (also an ISP in Australia). Basically, Exetel have locked the modem to their network and I am no longer with them. Now I have this modem that can only be used on their network, whereas other Unwired re-sellers don't do this. What's really funny is; Exetel offered to buy it back from me for $30 (when I paid $150+ initially). I didn't agree with that offer and a month later they called "out of the blue" and offered $35. Another month later they offered $45.. <rant> I own the equipment and will hack it to bits before they get their hands on it! :D </rant> So if anyone knows of Navini "hacks" out there, be sure to let me know.
