  1. Has the BBS been reset of late? My username seems to be deleted... (Esqulax) And i was getting on so well with that barmaid in L.O.R.D
  2. Could you not just use a JavaScript injection to change the form value on the fly?
  3. I wouldnt bother hiding it. Pop it in a box, with a big antenna on top, and walk around, stopping ocasionally to tap on your laptop. Maybe put a sign on the side saying "Acme E-mail Reader" or similar, and smile at people who are browsing :)
  4. Fantastic! Very true, im looking up fon routers as we speak! I cant wait to see what this is really capable of
  5. Dammit.. was on auto-type mode and was thinking of other stuff
  6. Darren.. that plug was very shameless :P
  7. I been Programming on and off for about 6 or 7 years. I still know fuck all though :) Ive got experience in C++, Java, ASM, Pascal, BASIC, HTML, PHP, SQL, JavaScript. I know a bit of each.. not enough to be "proficient" (i.e not enough to get a job doing...) but enough that i can understand technical stuff about them. Im tryna re-light the fire for programming again, but at the moment its hard to learn "for learnings sake" I wanna get into databases, but i'll make it, and not use it. so to me its pointless :P I was thinking maybe a small game...Meh.. just thinking aloud ;)
  8. Wow.. so is C-Base, like a geek bar? Pretty Cool

    voice sms

When i was in uni, and watching the pennies, it actually worked out cheapr to call someone. a 30 second conversation would cost maybe 10p, but in that conversation you can organize going to town, where to meet, what time, and who else wants to go. which, if you sent 3 reply via text, would cost yuou 30p AND the other guy 30p Plus, you know whats happening in 30 seronds, you dont have to wait for the other guy to respond, so it saves time too :) Also, my contract gave me more free mins than texts, so it was all good. but aside from that.. i dont see why not. The text to speech and vice versa has been done LOADS of times, and that can work as an input device. all you gotta do is fire up a web texting tool, and bobs your uncle. To read them out, diddnt one of the Hak5 guys have his computer read out the days news, same technique it seems like all these things exist, just not together :)
  11. That second pic is not you pwning a big ad screen..... is it?
  12. a Language war can sometimes be as long, and pointless as an OS war. I started on Pascal, then C++ then Java. I know people who just did Java. S'up to yourself, but the most widely used OO ones are Java and C++. Currently theres high demand for .Net devlopers, but a fair few people in communities like this are anti microsoft. Python and Perl, from what i understand, are fairly easy to pick up (although ive never done them myself) Could go Waaay leftfeild and do Ruby on Rails :P
  13. You can boot backtrack and run a command to save the password hash
  14. Personally.. i cant decide. So i have XP as my normal everday machine, Leopard on the macbookpro for design and work and stuff, and Linux on my (soon to be) haktop for learninf purposes. So i can either be lover or hated by everyone... You decide :)
  15. Or start up in safe mode... Whay cat you resart? all you'd need is 5 mins alone with the machine (cue marvin gaye)
  16. Im liking it So Far! Add Esqulax to your buddy list :D
  17. We can recommend tools.. but whats the point? When i started looking into this dingy world of "hacking" the main advice i was given was "read everything. if you wanna know something read up on it.When you decide to actually get started, read some more" Google some tools. they may link you to other tools. try them out, if they work, then.. awesome, if not, ah well try another one! cant have it handed to you on a plate now can we?
  18. Hehe.. i keep mentioning this: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/219404 And in the UK PC world is known as a pretty pricey place to buy stuff. The 4211 is a rebadged MSI Wind. Costs a bit more that the aspire one, but not enough to break the bank. I played with both of them, and this comes with windows, but took no time at all to load up ubuntu onto it. I dont think i can ever get used to the mouse buttons on the Aspire One. Weirdest part is going from this onto the macbookpro... theres so much SPACE!
  19. Well, Snubs is the gamer! Do a Spo-re-view!!! Or a creature creator contest!
  20. Sooo... Snubs mentioned a hang out? s'an idea... a Mass hak5 meetup.. co-incide it with DEFCON, so that us continent hoppers got more to go for than than a few beers :) BAM subject change!
  21. Bonus: I pre-booked it (to get my double reward points) and the guy offered me SPORE creature creater for a fiver (£5). i was like.. Naaah. Then he said, if i buy it, i'll get the fiver off the game... so its free. A bit silly from their POV, but hey, works for me!
  22. Might do. Im looking to hide the camera inside one of those alarm units (PIR?) and most CCTV cams need a coax/DVR card. Ill defintly have a look at net attached webcams
  23. Can anyone give me a wee bit of advice? Basically i was to install a security camera in my shop, but i want it to be hidden, and not viewable from within ghte shop itself. My idea = mini PC with a DVR card, and ethernet cable, hidden above the roof tiles. Now i dont want a monitor on this (during setup = fine, but generally long term.. Nah) Is there any recomendations as to which remote desktop utility to use? (Oh yes i will catch that SOB whos theiving from me. Oh yes.)
  24. Sooo.. What we all think about SPORE? Im quite looking forward to it, if it had an FPS and racing mode, it would cover most game genres!
