  1. Oh, i think i got it: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,741...2.html#msg77322 :-D
  2. Hi DarkOne, I browsed through a lot of FireFox .XPI extensions lately and found this one, it's made for RadioBlog: http://www.adrien-gallou.fr/?page=radioblog I wasn't able to make it work but it claims to be able to retreive titles while the temporary music files (in .MP3 format without an extension) are present in the FireFox cache directory - using an older version of Flash Player, of course... Who knows, perhaps this might open a new perspective. I look forward to evaluating your next release! :-)
  3. Hi DarkOne, I've downloaded 'pandora_7.9_alpha.zip' which seems to be about the latest experiments made by Cooper this winter and i couldn't find the "tmp"/"temp" strings or their letter-case variants once and not even in what looks like source-code. I did the same with an archive mentioned in this post but i found no joy there: "Complete Working Install Package+Instructions for OS X"... Well that's no Linux but i was hoping to get some clues anyway. Perhaps if you search for Cooper and people who wrote to him it will lead to an e-Mail address or something... I'll take a look at Pandoras' Jar log file in any case, there's nothing to loose. :-)
  4. The search function isn't working well, for this, any hints?
  5. Hi DarkOne_05, I did notice an "export TEMP=" string in the .sh Linux script, the script itself didn't work but i vaguely recall trying to make use of it in my Slax module, last month. This animation confirmed the temporary directory was located at '/tmp/plugtmp': SLAX-Based Ready-Made/Out-of-USA/Bilingual Project for Linux Live CDs/USB Drives The music files are easy to identify because Linux looks at the content instead of extensions only... The cache is more complicated to find. Even if the Flash Switcher v1.0.0 utility is for Windows .DLLs instead of the Linux SlackWare .so ones it's still reading the Flash version from the 'pluginreg.dat' file accurately though, it also knows exactly where the cache is located if i try to setup preferences, if i remember correctly... It wouldn't be hard to recycle a part of its code should that be necessary. Perhaps it's time for me to search for some debug resource inside Pandora's Jar, a log file generated internally would do fine! I'll see what comes up.
  6. Is any of you suggesting that the musical files are transfered twice even if it's already there?
  7. Hi, I've put a few hours on it but the grab button still fails to work: it's complaining about being "unable to locate artist and song information" (or "artist info" and "album info" if you like). It doesn't work at all unless i leave JavaScript active and the .MP3 files are nowhere to be found if i use Flash Player v9.0 r48 instead of v7.0 r63 (no v8 in Linux!)... I think references to the temporary directory might be a problem but i guess i'll just sleep on it.
  8. Hi, Here's what i worked on, everything is fine in it until one tries to "grab" music (because directory structures differ): http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,7173.0.html This is a Linux Live CD, no permanent installation needed. One boots with it or he can use VMWare: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,7049.0.html I'm about to experiment with the v8 release but it won't work if there are any leftovers of some hard- coded file path in it. You'll hear of me again... ;-)
  9. I was hoping for a post like yours! Do you think this can be ported easily to Linux Live CDs such as Slax or NimbleX? 8-)
  10. Using VMWare and enough computing resources you can also run two instances of Slax/NimbleX in combination with my Pandora module but the DownLoads are only manual so far, i'm afraid, not to mention that such an abuse would certainly put a lot of stress on the Tor network anyway!!!
  11. Theoretically you can use two different ISPs at once, each with their separate system. You can do it even using only one line and a modem/router to match.
  12. Hi, I'd like to do as you describe but i can't find where i'm supposed to enter the strings you provided! :zombie:
  13. Hi, This site generates an .ISO CD image on-line which can include 'Firefox v2.0', 'Tor & Privoxy', 'Tork v0.10' and 'Torbutton'. Just choose "Custom", select every single category if you wish to explore and choose later then finish up by picking a WallPaper - and perhaps an alternate KDE language if needed. It can't be simpler: Custom NimbleX 2 Live CD Generator Now here's the catch, i don't know how one is supposed to control TorK so that he would connect through USA only. If you find out how, get the package which i've published here a few days ago and use '/etc/tor/torrc' in order to use a larger server-base than the two from a previous post: we can't all suck juice from the very same guy, after all! Of course, don't forget the Java (JRE) support when generating a Slax-based Live CD...
  14. Hi, I posted this more than six months ago: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,4961.0.html ...then i wrote this recently: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,7173.0.html I wish you some better luck with your approach!
  15. This little diaporama promptly describes what it's like using Linux (SLAX, NimbleX or BackTrack): The September 30 module is 32456704 Bytes and the link was removed for a lack of feed-back, write a PM to get it.
  16. Hi TehEsco, I needed a few days to familiarize with it all but TorK's "First-Run Wizard" was quite helpful at the begining: the NickNames from USA were relatively easily collected to be added to my '/etc/tor/torrc' configuration file and i also made an important addition: it turns out that "StrictExitNodes 1" should prevent slipping out of USA... But what a headhache i have now! :zombie: Anyway, my .mo/.lzm module works on Slax, NimbleX and BackTrack in a satisfying way as long as i just want to listen to Pandora and put aside a few temporary MP3 audio files but i'm afraid that making the "Grab this Track" button work again is too much of a challenge for me. Ha, and TOR must be up-to-date (v0.1.2.16) because of a security risk, i heard... Good Day! :)
  17. Oh, thanks twice az007! Then it's located in the /etc/tor/ directory but my notes indicate i didn't find that famous string when i searched. I'll give it a try! :D
  18. OKay, i managed to install Tor/TorK and TorButton (for FireFox) under Slax but where's the configuration file where i'm supposed to find "ExitNodes" inside?... :zombie: Please!
  19. Hi Razor512, I gave the 'Pandora mediaplayer.exe' archive a try so here's what i noticed, even if i didn't test it extensively. The grab button is fixed, the Title/ Artist directories & fields seem to work normally, the Album directory & field are OK when available, the Track #, Year and Genre Fields worked if those were available as well... The Comment field still declares "ripped by [PaNDoRas jAR] your source for listening pleasure" but that's cured when clearing the 'pandoraGrabber.js' &Comment field. Anyway, i checked my Flash version through this address 1st: http://www.adobe.com/fr/products/flash/about/ (result is 8.0.24.0) Then made sure that Pandora will be happy with it: about:plugins (result is 9.0.21 d55) As you can imagine, it means i read the 'txt1.txt' file where you show how to edit 'pluginreg.dat'... I don't understand what 'Pandora media player.exe' and the link it calls are meant to do so i ignored them, moved my whole 'Pandora' directory elsewhere and put pack my own version of 'Pandora.BAT'; ha, and SRS Audio SandBox v1.3.x simply fits Pandora's Jar wonderfully! There are error warnings related to Last.FM but that's still a nice contribution!!! Did i say thanks?...
  20. Hi ColdFusion, My file is here and Slax sits at the next address: http://download.yousendit.com/9F1C52B435888714 'Pandora_Flash7Fixed.mo', 4788 KiloBytes http://www.slax.org/download.php SLAX Standard Edition v5.1.8.1, 192 MegaBytes Insert these Java and FireFox modules in the .ISO: http://www.slax.org/modules.php?category=system&id=1800 Java 2 JRE v1.5.0_09, 30.43 MegaBytes http://www.slax.org/modules.php?category=network&id=2096 Mozilla FireFox v2.0.0.1, 9.44 MegaBytes I hope this FireFox module has Java ready, the one i got is in foreign language so it's no good here. Module insertion can't be made easier if you do it with a utility such as UltraISO: you just add the file to the /modules/ pre-existing directory if it must be loaded automatically or /optional/ if not. The Flash v9 plugin is already included on Slax so my Pandora module overwrites it with the older one and modifies the .DAT file as was explained to us. Of course, it's not a finished product (the launch KMenu links need to be revised) but i'm quite sure you and your readers can cope with a console line, search for a pair of simple scripts at the root...
  21. Hi, I created a Slax module of Pandora's Jar CF7 to be used under Linux (Live CD)... 'pluginreg.dat' has been modified to disguise flash v7.0.25.0 as flash v9.0 d55, "about:plugins" says it's effectively v9 while http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ says it's v7.0.25.0, actually (which is correct). I've created a pair of KMenu links to launch the server then FireFox at this location: 127.0.0.1:8085 (it fails with localhost); the Pandora player doesn't complain about flash v7 and starts normally but no music can be grabbed because it's unable to locate artist and song information, as the text below the button says. There are .MP3 files in /tmp/plugtmp so i'm wondering if that's a flash version problem (there's no v8 available) or if it's because i got it dead wrong when i pointed TEMP at /tmp/plugtmp.
