thanks digip, ill start listening to those, only ones i keep up on are the 2600 ones and infiltrator, i took a look at maltego a while back when i first downloaded bt4 and i just brushed it off, (didn't want to register) but i just registered about a week ago and have been playing around with it a bit and it seems really nice, definitely going to add that shortcut to my bt5 desktop and keep playing around with it. i appreciate all the insight guys, im finally about to take my first certification this fall and hopefully get the heck out of radioshack and get some IT hours in somewhere, even if it is a call center.

spooky lol, thats sweet, im assuming your using a lot of google dorks for these finding? i've recently been playing with some basic google dorks and would like to go deeper in the subject, i've been reading "google hacking for penetrations testers v2" and i just picked up a copy of "social engineering: the art of human hacking". i used to use one of the common phone number/email/name look up websites to find information on things, but i feel like i could find a lot more once i get a hang of the google dorks and what not. i recently got into this subject because a man walked up to me in borders (while i was picking up the social engineering book) claiming to be with a company called ULM global (claimed to work with fortune 500 companys), and immediately tried offering me a job. the whole thing seemed fishy and after talking to him for 15 minutes i got some "information" on him that lead me to believe it was all a scam, he didn't live anywhere near the town he told me he did, name was fake, the business phone numbers were residential. all because he gave me his real email i got out of what could have possibly (probably) been a scam. any recommendations on sites/books/tools on gathering information besides the ones previously listed?

i was trying to get the money saved up to go (this would have been my first con) then my car took a crap on me so that money is going to go toward a new one, plus the money that i was saving for a 2011 kawasaki ninja 250r. looking for a 93-96 firebird formula t-top now. oh well, eventually ill make it. maybe shmoocon next year since is much closer and the plane ticket wont be 350 bucks.

I just finished downloading the arm version, setup seems pretty simple either with the chroot instructions that come in the zip from backtrack, or this tutorial I found http://www.mattslifebytes.com/?p=456 has a pretty simple guide for smart phones and has a resolution fix, haven't tried either yet but im planning on it tonight

as far as i know google is already doing this when you google stuff and your logged into google. so android is made by "google" and im pretty sure you need to have a google account to use the phone, unless you want to install all your apps from outside sources and never use their backup assistant, you probably going to be monitored on android as well. personally i go with android because its linux based, and i really dont like apple, at all.

Id go with this, I never have a problem removing anything while on a linux cd, that and malwarebytes

when i started playing Wow i played on a pentium 4 single core, 1.7 ghz, 768mb of RAM and a whopping 64mb dedicated video RAM... ya it was bare minimum settings during burning crusade, but i managed to be my guilds top healer through black temple, so 8fps, you can still get stuff done, although i would never recommend those specs lol. now i game on a HP dv7 with a core 2 quad 2.8ghz, 8gb RAM and a ati radeon mobility hd (blablabla long name) 4530 with 512mb dedicated. i run Wow at mid-high settings at about 30-40fps at 1600x900, i have no problems running anything except crysis (duh) and mass effect 2.

Alien ware is such a rip off, you can get an i7 assus with 6gb ram and a BA nvidea card with 1.5gb dedicated for half the price of an aleinware, plus dell bought it out and I don't condone the buying of dell, acer, emachine, gateway, compaq, its all garbage now, build a desktop or buy asus/toshiba for a laptop, sony and samsung are ok too. And for macs... blah....

Yes the plug can be picked up at radioshack, as I work at one :P I picked one up, and took a old Usb cable, spliced it and did some quick soldering and now its working great, Im also thinking about a case mod for my pineapple and my alfa in the same case, with the same Usb power source for both, (of course also with the same cable running the data to and from the alfa) need to find a slightly deeper plastic housing.
