  1. if you use a laptop charger take apart the housing where the power cord goes into the box thing, make your own so it fits the router inside it aswell with the antenna cased in there aswell (not alot of signal gets lost) then put the power supply unit inside. i bound an ethernet cable to the power cable with a long bit of heatshrink rubber stuff and split it at the end enough to reach around to the rj45 port on my laptop and power my laptop at the same time. just sit where noone can really see it that well. if done properly it looks genuine-ish :)
  2. i wasnt changing the topic, my point still stands that no matter what you do, its still going to happen because the governments are money grabbing cu**s at the end of the day and broadband is an easy way for them to make money, your protest method would do nothing but show the government how much the internet is used, which will cause the price to be raised. No matter what you do its going to happen and protesting is only going to waste bandwith. The only way to protest this is to get as many people in canada as possible to cancel their subscriptions or protest outside your governments/isp's HQ, either way its probably not going to stop it.
  3. i know many people who are capped at 5gb download a month and if they go over that they get cut off the internet till it rolls over. get over it, its going to happen eventually and there are still people worse off than you.
  4. its illegal but the only way that you could accomplish this would be using a RAT(remote administration tool). im not going to supply one though. have fun in jail for it though :)
  5. the smallest thing you are looking at would be an ssd (heres a 256gb one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820609379&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4169666&SID=1tmwy12mb0yev ) and a usb cable for it. Even at that your not going to get anywhere near as small as a usb drive to coppy a harddrive. as stated you can create a batch script and an autorun and shove it on a 128gb flash drive (Expensive as hell) and you will struggle to coppy most peoples harddrives with that. it will also take a while to copy a decent sized harddrive to flashdrive. You would be better off with an autorun + some sort of file stealing .exe that would upload all their files to a ftp account so you are less likely to get caught sitting at someones computer waiting for the files to xfer and if u get caught with the autorun on ur pendrive just be like wtf i have a virus on my pendrive... how'd that get there sorta thing.
  6. i would also love a hard coppy of all the seasons as my net sucks it would take ages to download them all :P i live in scotland but im willing to pay for the shipping etc from wherever. If you can do this gimi a PM :)
  7. Hey ive been lurking around the forums for a while now and this topic made me have to register You canadians are lucky. In scotland we have a "fair use policy" on all broadband purchases. This means that we have a so called unlimited internet but due to the fair use policy we are paying £xx (£20 for me) a month for whatever the predefined fair use policy says we can use (40gb a month for me). After we pass this we have to pay £2 per 5gb of data transfer. For me downloading and uploading alot of data every day for numerous reasons i end up about 450gb over my allowance each month. I have been kicked off my plan by 2 providers in the last year as i refused to pay the extra £xxx a month for my unlimited broadband as the contract i signed had no say of the fair use policy and it was braught in without the public knowing it was legalised for companys to put this into a contract. I had a good read over my existing contracts and it had no mention of the fair use policy or a section that says they have the right to put one in there without tellin us and there was none. I pulled them up about it and got 1 year free internet with 0 limitations on speed or bandwith. Read over your contract before you think about quitting your isp because if they slipped up on the contract you signed you wont have to pay an extra penny to the fatcats.
