  1. well, then it will be the NH, I'm glad now I didn't bid on ebay yesterday for the NHR, I could have gotten it for about 20 euros, cheap but probably I would feel disappointed with it. thanks. stepking2 and Imgonza I ruled out ordering the 36NHA and 36H because the first one doesn't work with R36 router and for the second I'm not interested buying a b/g device only. another question I'm also toying with the idea getting a Alfa R36 to keep the powerful 2000mw NH as far away from PC as possible (with ethernet cable) but I suppose packet injection/aircrack would not work then or does it?
  2. I'm looking to order either the AWUS036NH (Ralink rt3070) or AWUS036NHR (Realtek rtl8188ru) which one is best or do both work without any setup or driver install on Ubuntu 12.04 and Backtrack 5 ? will both work with aircrack too? thanks
  3. ./sslstrip.py -l 10000 starting sslstrip with the above command outputs these errors Traceback (most recent call last): File "./sslstrip.py", line 108, in <module> main(sys.argv[1:]) File "./sslstrip.py", line 101, in main reactor.listenTCP(int(listenPort), strippingFactory) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/twisted/internet/posixbase.py", line 419, in listenTCP p.startListening() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/twisted/internet/tcp.py", line 857, in startListening raise CannotListenError, (self.interface, self.port, le) twisted.internet.error.CannotListenError: Couldn't listen on any:10000: [Errno 98] Address already in use. what am I missing? edit: ettercap is freezing now while scanning for hosts, I'm thinking of giving up, how do I undo the two sslstrip code commands?
  4. the first code worked, no errors at least. and for the port, sorry I don't understand, what is the port number sslstrip listens? also do I have to enter these code lines every-time to run sslstrip? thanks
  5. so sslstrip is the only way? tried installing sslstrip from http://www.thoughtcrime.org/software/sslstrip/ on ubuntu 11.04 but shows errors running the commands sudo echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward bash: /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward: Permission denied mfp@PC:~$ sudo iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port <listenPort> bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline' any way to fix this for 11.04?
  6. Hi, I'm trying ettercap on my network and I can capture uncrypted username and passwords, I have followed a lot of video tutorials claiming they can capture SSL encrypted username and passwords but it doesn't work here using Ubuntu 11.04, so whats the secret? how do you do it? thanks
  7. thanks I posted the question cause yesterday happened something I have never seen before on this computer, I could browse the internet but could not scroll the page with the mouse or use scroll bar, there was a lot of scroll lagging on any web broswer, I don't know what caused it but came to my mind my computer was under attack! anyway I rebooted and the problem was gone. by the way how do I clear the arp cache on th PC and router, (Ubuntu 10.10, chromium, opera and firefox)
  8. Hi, what I would like to know is if there is any way I can check if someone is attacking my wifi network with MITM or ARP poisoning, is it possible and any app I could use or what should I look for? thanks
  9. Ubuntu 10.10, and I do have crunch installed but hardly know how to use it! if there was o gui for crunch that would be nice too!
  10. Hi, is there any wordlist maker like the windows Raptor3 for linux? I hardly use windows now, it would be nice if there was some app similar to Raptor3, if there isn't anything couldn't some programmer think about making one? thanks
