Hi, here is my problem : I am trying to scan hosts with the "MAC address scaner" of Cain&Abel. I know hosts exist and are connected to my network, but the software doesn't find them. I had the same problem with Ethereal or Ettercap, easily solved by working in NON-promiscuous mode. But Cain&Abel runs in promiscuous mode, and I can't find the way to switch into the NON-prom. mode ! I tought the pb could come from WinPcap, so I've tried to uninstall it, but Cain&Abel refuses to run without it. Is there a way to solve my pb ? Thks !
