There was an old thread about this and I'm still as pissed about it now as I was then.

So what's going on with the Photoshop competition? http://www.hak5.org/wiki/Photoshop_Competition I liked the idea because I like using Photoshop, but never have a reason to use it. That competition from November never seems to have ended, unless I somehow missed it.

Yea, as said before it really does depend on the school. Just go to the school website and look for reqs. The school I go to now is just an average run of the mill school, and all I needed to get in was EITHER a 22 on the ACTs (Standardized test, not sure if it's just an American test or not) or be in the top 50% of your high school graduating class. I was one person under 50% of my class, but I got a 27 on the ACT's so I got in easily. However if I would have tried to get into the main school around here I don't think it would have went through.

How ironic. I work in the computer lab here at Uni, and just 5 minutes before I read this a 25ish year old woman came up to me and asked how to start up a new power point. She was sitting there in Word... So I tell her to close Word and go down into the start menu and highlight All Programs. She navigates here way into the start menu and stops and asks, "Where's the all program?" Now I don't really care if she's that computer unsavy because she was nice about the whole thing, but it was pretty funny and ironic to come read this right afterwords.

Honestly, who would think this is a good idea? I could possibly see making it some special color, but wtf why pink? Maybe a nice white or black? I guess at least it's not rainbow-colored with flowers and unicorns all over it...

Someone "found" an Ipod right out of my excoworker's car, along with his cellphone and $50 in his glove compartment. That would really have to suck. Actually though that's pretty cool. As long as you found it and not "found" it. And I thought it was cool when another coworker found an unopened can of Cheese Wiz. That was a glorious day indeed.

Wait you have HL2:Deathmatch, CS:S, and DoD:S, but not HL2? I knew you could buy CS:S and DoD:S seperate, but didn't know about deathmatch. Anyways I would second the notion of picking up HL2. One of the few single player FPS that I think has replayability. Although I havn't picked up the other episode(s?) yet because I think it seems lame to sell less-than-expansion packs. Even if they are cheaper.

Hmm apparently I didn't type what I meant. By "checking in" I meant going and reading his IM's. She's going in and looking at what he's typing and well I would really be pissed off if my parents had done that too me. Whatever I'm ranted out I'm going to sleep...

Wow that's one of the most retarded things I've ever seen. How the fuck is it dangerous? That woman regularly "checks" in with her child? WOW I would be really pissed off if my parents did that when I was younger. Does she also listen to his phone calls, and video tape him while he's in the bathroom to make sure he's not strokin' it? Hurray for increasing ratings by preying on parents worries with yet another greatly exaggerated "problem".
