  1. I've changed the port and stuff. The problem is that it's not even getting to the transfer stage, the DHT client won't log in, at least not with the current settings. Part of the problem is that I'm not sure what the settings should be exactly.
  2. I recently moved out to university but would still like to access all the stuff available on Bittorrent. I've not had any luck so far and I'm not even sure if it's possible so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone can help. All internet traffic runs through a proxy on the university network. Internet browsers are configured as follows: Select Automatically Detect Settings (of LAN), and use configuration script: http://www-config.strath.ac.uk/proxy.config (this contains IP addresses and what not, can be opened in notepad). However, I have no idea how to make utorrent/whatever work. I've tried a variety of settings but haven't had any luck yet (I don't even know what type of proxy it is - socks 4, 5, http, etc). That's about it really, any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Exactly what it says in the title really. I'm currently using a Trust Spacecam 120 that someone bought me a good few years ago and unfortunetely it's rather awful. Looking to upgrade it to something watchable at more than 330x330 (it really is that bad) but don't want to spend a lot of money on it :). All I've come up with so far is the MSI StarCam 370i, but there seems to be some mixed reviews on that - with most summarising that you get a good webcam for the money, but that's about it. It will just be used for standard internet chatting i.e. via skype, and so still image quality is not important. Preferred price would be £20 ($40-$45) or under if possible :). Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Well, looks like they finally found a use for all they PS3s! Now if only they had some decent games...
  5. Remember to go into Options > Files and disable all downloading rates (which coincidentally also disables all uploading) - otherwise you might find it downloading updates and patches for games without your knowledge, well, at least that's what happened to me :)
  6. Heh, yes, but unless you're a great poet with layers upon layers of meaning then rhyming's the easiest way to get people to like/remember it ;)
  7. I don't understand, it doesn't rhyme
  8. Do you mean like you have 2 (or more) computers on your home LAN, and want them to work together to convert a video?
  9. Every 3 years - simply because games become nearly unplayable unless at the lowest settings.
  10. Isn't this a bit like saying: Wow, I changed the color of my car and now it goes so much faster!!
  11. I bought Wii Play (with Remote) from Amazon near launch and they sent me two by accident :)
  12. Yeah...well it was a game made by Rare, who were then bought by Microsoft, and I doubt Microsoft will be willing to let Nintendo offer it for download.
  13. Probably very very few were bought in 2007, but the fact is that they're used in 2007 - and that's what matters. It's reliable in as far as all the results are completely honest of those who submitted. Also, as I said before, these are people who play games and so are likely to have above average PCs, so I would have thought that don't play games would actually have lower specs than those listed.
  14. No they don't. http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html And that's people who play games - so that'll be the top average of the market.
  15. http://uk.wii.ign.com/index/release.html?c....game.locale=us Yeah, a couple of potentially really good games in the next month: February 20, 2007 Sonic and the Secret Rings February 27, 2007 SSX Blur March 5, 2007 Mario Party 8 They all seem to have gotten good previews, but as you know the final reviews can vary wildly from that. Beyond that there's a whole load of 3rd party stuff - whether any of it will be worth getting or not is still unknown.
