  1. Yes I had a backtrack + a bt recovery partition I believe alongside windows 7. The recovery tool only lists about 322 gb to be formatted, and it's a 500 gb hd. However, when I boot the hardisk there is no option to boot any partitions... No Windows, no backtrack, just the error message I put in the original post.
  2. I need help restoring my pc to factory settings. I have an eMachines desktop EL1352. It came with recovery discs labeled 1-3. I run the recovery, choosing to restore it to the factory install. Then, it wipes my hard drive and installs windows throughout the three discs. When the third disc is completed a notification pops up saying the restore to factory install is complete and to restart the computer.. It didn't work, I've tried to but with an without the disc still in the drive. The bios is set to boot from the hardisk, which I believe is correct. When it tries i just get: "error: no such partition. Grub rescue>" Can someone please explain to me what I am doin wrong, this is my first time installing windows.
  3. Can anyone give me an estimate of how much someone with a bachelors in network administration would make managing a network of about 100 computers.
  4. I never use gps and using wifi at home and various places wouldnt allow them to draw a map like the one depicted in the video. GPS wouldnt be the problem anyway. Sure they could use it but it is just an app for the iphone. Their tracking system was supposed to go unnoticed and is secret there is no way to turn it off, well at least yet, it is integrated into the phone so i doubt there will be a solution.
  5. I am definitely a bigger fan of open source on the computer side. However i haven't had any experience on the mobile side. I love the stability and functionality of the iPhone tho. Even with a 3g, mine is jailbroken and is fully customized, i have multitasking, and even a terminal shell, which even better has a metasploit app. Also, when jailbroken you have access to other browsers that support flash. All of the above are the reasons i keep hearing for why android is better, but its not if the iphone is jailbroken, at least that is in the common user's case. I haven't really looked much into rooting android and what u can do with that. Does anyone have personal experience or advice?
  6. Apple has been tracking all iPhone users!? I personally have a 3g and I'm pissed, this is a huge privacy concern. I was planning on getting the iPhone 5, but unless this is gone I will be switching to android, tho they may be doing the same :( Any thoughts or information on this? http://digg.com/news/technology/iphone_users_being_tracked
  7. I can see how this mistake may have been made. But, couldn't it also just be a cover up. Samsung did previously say "monitor the performance of the machine and to find out how it is being used". Is it that hard to believe that maybe the government is issuing this and other hardware installs alike. I personally have always had the suspicion that windows would one day have a government backdoor. I could just be over thinking this, but then again a lot of people could be under thinking it.
  8. Wow haha thanks i just reinstalled i havent used bt4 in a while
  9. I have a new emachines pc, I was planning on dual booting Windows 7 alongside with bt4(r2) The problem is the screen res is to big for my monitor and I can't figure out how to adjust it. Any help is appreciated, Thanks
  10. My guess is he is asking someone to crack the full license for that program that he has listed.
  11. Is there a way to physically link or combine the hard drives so that it would be recognized as one hard drive by the system?
  12. Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows some good tutorials or sites where I can learn different types of coding and programming. Links would be great. ,Thamks

    Help

The other day i was trying to open a file and I accidentally clicked virtual box by accident. This changed all of my desktop icons to virtual box( with the exception of the default Microsoft apps) and all the programs in my start menu to virtual box. Now when i click on any of these it opens virtual box. Question: Is there a quicker way to fix this than deleting all of these shortcuts and re-adding them?
  14. So what your saying is this key would replace the credentials
  15. Yes I am aware of all this. But when i sign into my account xbox doesn't do an auto verification of the email? I would think that it would have to to get access to my account I was thinking that when you download your gamertag in a gt recovery it was for gamerscore, credit card info, and avatars and such not just so it can auto login.
  16. @theSuperman I do mean username and password and i as well assumed that it would be encrypted. My question is ; 1. Are the credentials in the traffic? 2. is there anyway to decrypt it?
  17. Thanks for the advice. i tried {grep -a xbox} and I did find plain text unfortunately it was only xbox.com and a lot of encryptions. I will try port mirroring as well but im new to it so i will have to look into it. is there a way to decrypt these codes?
  18. Hey guys im a noob with an interesting idea. Is it possible to capture packets from an xbox 360 to your router over wifi in order to get the credentials of an xbox live account? * Let me know if you have any similar ideas * Any help is appreciated thanks!
