The password is to open the spreadsheet...

...so what software do I need to generate a hash file from a password protected spreadsheet to use with rainbowtables? There's plenty of websites offering to recover excel passwords but at a rather high cost for one spreadsheet. Is it obvious, because I'm having a hard time figuring it out... Cheers, cmo

Hi guys, I've just watched the podcast demonstrating the use of rainbow tables with windows passwords. Can rainbow tables be used in a similar way to reveal excel 2003 passwords (or any other passwords, apart from windows logins)? Cheers, cmo
