My friend has got a yp-u2j (from samsung) usb/thumb/flash drive and upon plugging into one of my alternate computers its unused memory shifted to 0. I offered my solution of formatting the damn thing with a standardized format function and build from there (He used the standardized software that comes with it and everything on someone elses computer). Figured it would be a good idea to ask before modification of software: will the mp3 player will still be available if done correctly and what hazards should be avoided?
I hate DRM and DRM enforcing programs and the software screams DRM.
