  1. Could an admin/mod please close this thread so we can use the extra forum finally? ;) thanks!
  2. We don't support the PJ-rippoff "pandomax" here... -.- But for PJ: For the current versions I think you don't need to change anything within the pandoraGrabber.html! It uses the newest player version automatically! (At least it does for me...) I think there will be need in anyone of the PJ-coders to change the way PJ reads out the data!
  3. uhm... I guess everyone knew that already... ;-) sry ;)
  4. Hmmm... Seems plausible to me, but can you tell me why it's working for me without any trouble? *gg*
  5. Hmmm... very strange! For me it only caches 2 files!
  6. how often did we say that now... wait a sec, I'll add it to my post, so we'll just have to post a link to it in the future, heheh! ;)
  7. Hmm I don't know how often I told about this problem here... But I think reading at least the last few pages of that thread would help a lot - you avoiding problems and us repeating the same things again and again. Okay... Once again... YES, SKIPPING CHANNELS WILL CONFUSE PANDORAS JAR! ALSO IF YOU ADD MORE MUSIC (ARTIST OR SONGTITLE) TO A STATION, THIS MIGHT LEAD PJ TO MIX UP THE FILES! IF YOU SKIP A SONG WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON AND DO NOT WAIT FOR PJ TO SAVE IT FIRST (I.E. YOU SKIP SEVERAL SONGS RAPIDLY IN A ROW) IT WILL PROBABLY GET CONFUSED AS WELL! IF YOU SWITCH A CHANNEL OR ADD MUSIC, AT LEAST REFRESH YOUR BROWSER PAGE OR EVEN BETTER RESTART WHOLE PJ! IF YOU WANT TO SKIP SONGS, TURN CRUISE CONTROL OFF! And just to repeat another thing once again: WITH THE CURRENT VERSION OF PJ IT'S NO CURIOSITY THAT THE VERY FIRST SONG WILL NOT BE SAVED PROPERLY! YOU CAN TRY TO RE-GRAB IT MANUALLY WITH THE BUTTON, BUT THERE'S NO WARRANTY IT WILL WORK! SO BETTER DELETE THE FIRST GRABBED SONG OR MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS BEEN LABELED RIGHT! Another very *blinkblink* ->> IMPORTANT <<- *blinkblink* thing: PANDORAS JAR WILL NOT GRAB ANY FILES IF YOU'RE USING MACROMEDIA FLASH 9! THAT VERSION WILL NOT CACHE THE MP3S IN YOUR TEMP FOLDER! YOU HAVE TO DOWNGRADE TO FLASH 8 IN ORDER TO USE PJ!! (HOW TO DOWNGRADE, READ http://www.hak5.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15026#15026 !!!) *Phew!* Sorry if that sounded quite rude and harsh, but I hope in this way I will not have to repeat that again! ;-) If you want to get helped, try to help yourself first! You don't have to read the whole thread, as many of the bugs on the first pages have been solved in the last versions... But reading the last two or three pages shouldn't be a problem, eh? ;-)
  8. hmm... sorry, I don't have any more ideas right now... PJ ran for several hours now without problem for me... About 70 new songs now and as far as I checked they're all labled right. I will have to listen to them tomorrow, it's too late now (02:19 for me...)!
  9. Clear your Temp folder, make sure that you have all the plugtmp-folders as we were talking about some posts above. Had that problem too, clearing the temp folder solved it. BUT as you probably now, the very first song will not be labled correctly!
  10. is it even empty when pandora is running?? And are you sure that you are NOT using any other macromedia flash version than 8? Are you sure you looked into the right temp folder for the right logged-on user? (stupid question I know, but just to get sure...) Did you change the standard tempfolder to something like C:Temp? Did you check C:WindowsTemp? If all that didn't help, try the following: Run pandora and search for "*plugtmp*" in your explorer! If you are realy using Flash 8 this SHOULD show you the path to the temp-dir!
  11. In the temp folder where pandora stores the tempfiles! Usually for English language versions of Windows XP this should be C:Documents & Settings<username>Local SettingsTemp It's okay if there are already one or more folders of the type "plugtmp-X". Just make sure there is the full sequence from "plugtmp-1" to "plugtmp-10"!
  12. for all of you having problems: Have you tried manually creating the folders "plugtmp-1", "plugtmp-2" etc. up to "plugtmp-10" and rebooting? Try that out! This problem had been reportet a while ago and it could be solved in that way. The reason is that "plugtmp-1" got only 9 characters and that could confuse PJ. Pandora will automatically start with a two-digits-number after the "plugtmp-" in the future, so PJ shouldn't get confused because of that anymore! Please report if that worked out! And again the call: Can anybody PLEASE host'n'post a Version including all the latest (Java-)fixes that have been posted here? thanks in advance! P.S: The ONLY problem I'm running in is that of the first song not being grabbed. I think this will be fixed very easily by someone soon in the future. I don't know much about Java nor can I compile at the moment, otherwise I would do it! ;) So please publish some new fixes If you got 'em! P.P.S: Oh and don't count "switching channels confuses PJ" as a serious problem! ;-) If you were PandorasJar, you would get confused by that as well, hehe! I think it IS possible to fix that but it will require some more work and time. Just DON'T switch channels or add new title/artist to an existing one! And if you do, IMMEDIATELY refresh the PJ browser page! I mentioned before but I believe that many of those having problems ignored that or didn't read it! For me, everything else is running well. I just delete the first miss-named song and then I can let it run for hours. Only if there is a temporarily problem with my internet connection and a song needs more time to download than usual, there might occure a miss-naming. But that's obviously not PJ's fault! ;-)
  13. Zoltan, you got us to 1000th message... Hmm looking over 7.4.1 there is no build.xml .. so im unable to compile it. hehe great! ;) humm... so which version are you currently using?
  14. Could someone please upload a compiled version including barley!!!'s and the several other fixes? I don't have the SDK on my notebook, which I'm using becourse my PC is broken at the moment. That would be very nice and I think many other users would be grateful as well! ;) by the way for those looking for the "old" 7.4.1: wildandbad is online again! Get it from there and recompile with the fixes posted here. (and after you did that, upload it somewhere for me! :-P)
  15. well, the track stats were the track- & artist-info from last.fm plus the album art!
  16. what about rapidshare? or any other free filehoster?
  17. great! ;) And don't forget to not only restart after a channel-switch, but also if you added or removed a song or artist from a station, becourse otherwise, PJ will get confused with the files!
  18. I've read in this thread and used pandora's jar since it exists... and i thought it was time to register now! ;) I'm a lucky one, who got PJ running... But first I must say on my PC (nearly the same system, except WinXP pro instead of home) I couldn't get it running anymore after a quite long time of no problems. I than tried it out on my Medion Notebook and since then it's working perfectly, more or less! My notebook's system: Windows XP (Home Edition) latest Java installed (runtime, not the SDK) Firefox 1.5.0.6 Flash 8 Plugin (from this thread) Pandora's Jar (7.3.4) is configured like this: CDDB lookup - on last.fm add tracks - off (as it made some trouble since 7.3 or so) itunes add tracks - off (as i don't use nor have itunes) lyrics lookup - off (as it didn't work well, needed lots of time to load the lyrics and couldn't load most of them) email/username for Pandora.com typed in And it works like a charm (both, manual grab and cruise control) EXCEPT - it won't capture the first track, as mentioned before in this thread (well i got the feeling that it sometimes will grab it) - it will get confused with the naming if you a) add a song or an artist to your station b) switch between the stations (here as well it seems to work sometimes) so if you change anything on your stations, IMMEDIATELY reload localhost in firefox! by the way: I used to run a self-compiled version that would name the files "artist - track name" instead of "artist-trackname" (with spaces before and behind the "-" because I'm used to that) but as my pc is broken and i only have the java runtimes on my laptop, I'm using the pre-compiled at the moment. If you use your self-compiled version and have trouble, try out the pre-compiled one, as the archive might not have the latest source code with it. edit: oh, as I'm speaking of file-naming... wouldn't it be possible to give the option to adjust the file format? something like %artist - %title - %tracknumber - %whateveryouwant? I can do minor changes like the naming in the source but I'm not a java-adept... So long, and... whatever ;)
