  1. Here is your answer: http://www.hak5.org/wiki/Switchblade_Packages
  2. Yeah I'm saying using the same username. Or kind of like how truecrypt has the second password for the secret volume. You could have another password that has a junk volume. So you keep your tactical nuke plans for N Korea in one and just some random pr0n in another.
  3. screw the kvm. just get 12 more 24" flat pannel LCD screens, should fix ya right up.
  4. It would be cool if windows, or any other OS for that matter, had a dummy password. One that if forced to you could give away. Logging in under that password would bring you to a desktop and set of documents that looked legit enough to be your own, but secretly in the background would destroy all of your legit documents. Sneaky sneaky
  5. I think at this point that's overkill. It doesnt need to be automated, just a place to find the code snipped for the go.cmd and a zip file of the tools to add to your payload. The wiki would be prefect for this.
  6. ok well it's 4am #insert random crap about han drinking a bawls and r2d2 linking up to cloud city with cat5
  7. You know you're not a noob when you understand that the shockrifle in UT is an instant shot, and that the laser animation means nothing, because you see the game through the eyes of a programmer.* *interesting converstation with Wess tonight at a party.
  8. maybe we should schedule some matches. i'd love to do a team deathmatch or ctf. Darren's team vs. Wess's team. throw in a few kittens for good measure.
  9. I'm not sure why I think it should be changed to "You know you're computer literate when", or possibly "You know you're not a noob when" But then again I'm just tired and cranky and not feeling the sweeping generalizations right now. I'll be back on at 4am to post again. It will probably have something to do with star trek... and bawls... and making your own cat5... yeah. so.
  10. I have the same problem and just go about the long way of toggling the primary sound device. This program sounds great but I'm hesitant about it because it sounds like it stays resident. I've got enough crap running in my systray. If you could compile a command line version that accepts arguments then I could just assign a shortcut key to toggle them by calling a cmd or bat. Oh, and I'd love to see the source. .... because I'm paranoid whenever it comes to closed code on these forums ;) Not that anyone here would have less than stellar intentions though. Cheers on the sweet proggie either way. Edit: Oh yeah, and we got a question exactly like this at questions@hak5.org and havent had a chance to address those. We keep putting off the questions segment because we've got a ton of content to squeeze into an hour show. Anyway when we do finally rejig the format just a wee bit and answer these questions I'll be sure to point out this program as a solution.
  11. we need a place where payload packages are stored and documented, ready to snap into your go.cmd, rather than many different payloads that all do similar, but varying things. like the difference between apt get, package add, etc, to debian, mandrake, slackware, ubuntu, etc
  12. Duelus, this isn't EMOLICKR wait. that didnt come out right. i mean, you're all welcome to lick emos. i hear they're quite tasty. damn web2.0 droppin the E. F that, drop the R. you're still emo
  13. And that's the final word on the matter.
  14. Cache is good, but the more cache you get the most cash you spend. When it comes to buying things like CPUs, Hard Drives, Optical Drives, Network Cards, or Video Cards you may see varying cache sizes. Go with what you can afford. That said... I want a 1GB stick of PC3200 with 512MB of cache.... you know... for more goodness ;)
  15. I found mine in #hak5 on irc.hak5.org I think there's a few left over. You might want to try for the later model "_TomB"
  16. I love the Dell Quietkey. The newer black ones are ok too, but not the new new ones without the border and funky shaped spacebar. Anyway, the classic beige is the "standard" layout without some enormous enter key, itsy bitsy backspace key, or a horribly placed backslash. Then again we all know that the best keyboard ever invented was the IBM Model M
  17. I love seeing tools like these developed here. Cheers. Oh, and don't complain about the python use. I mean... It could be perl! *ducks* I kid ;-)
  18. If you havent noticed you've got your own forum rank now. Forever imortalized :)
  19. Arokn, I don't mind you plugging Device Wall on the forums, I mean, it is good software. But if you are affiliated with the company you should probably make that clear when you post. http://www.hak5.org/forums/search.php?search_author=arkon Looking forward to reviewing these types of device security software on the next episode, Darren
  20. I know I've posted a majority of my collection in an older thread, but I'll bite again. Off the top of my head in no particular order I'd say: The Killers, The Postal Service, Mono, Dido, Morcheeba, Fischerspooner, Jem, Air, Hooverphonic, Olive, Lamb, Massive Attack, Imogen Heap, Autour de Lucie, Frou Frou, BT, Bjork, Gus Gus, Blue States, Superior, Thievery Corporation, Everything but the girl, Poe, Portishead, and The Shins. That's all that I can think of off the top of my head. It's all good stuff.
  21. Yeah its a dreamhost 1 click install. latest version of mediawiki
  22. I use TomB for all of my file sharing needs, and you should too!
  23. The chosen one has freed the bits from their U3 overlords. Let us all rejoice.
