  1. The dashboard will only show clients connected through PineAP -- not the management interface. See https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/37196-tutorial-wifi-pineapple-primer/
  2. The TETRA is on the way! They left the factory Friday and are currently in Hong Kong customs. The Chinese new year is causing a bit of a delay at the port - which is typical this time of year as everyone tries to get their stuff out of the country. We're now expected to receive them on the 26th -- though that could be sooner. I'll know more from tracking once they clear customs. I want to thank you all for being so supportive and understanding. While I wish we didn't have these sorts of delays - it does at least mean that more updates to the 6th gen platform will find their way into the TETRA 1.0 firmware. :)
  3. I tried to position all of the cabling in this photo so it would make sense. Essentially the second Male A connector coming off the NANO USB cable is for additional power.
  4. They've left the factory and are with the freight forwarder. I should have more info tonight/tomorrow. I didn't realize Monday is a holiday. I'll update as soon as I have more.
  5. So a device can have multiple network interfaces each with IP addresses to discrete networks. What the wp6 script does is aid you in configuring the routing table to share an Internet connection from your host computer to the WiFi Pineapple. If you post the output of "ifconfig -a" as well as "route" and the saved settings in your wp6.sh we'll be able to help you configure the appropriate settings. Module wise many are being developed now and many more once we have the API documentation complete. You can also install any of the packages from the command line using "opkg" - such as opkg install aircrack
  6. Yeah I don't recommend keeping the NANO plugged into a USB port next to a laptop CPU exhaust fan. Either try a different port or use the included extension cable. As for the double NANO, what would happen is the host NANO would enumerate the second pineapples ASIX USB Ethernet as eth1. With the proper routing there are a number of ways this could benefit the auditor. That said, the USB Host port on the NANO is only rated at 500mW and the NANO (without a USB accessory) is rated at 1W - so there would likely be stability issues. Those could be mitigated if the second unit was only used in a passive mode since the majority of the power budget is in the radio transmitters. Anyway, I haven't tried but would be a fun experiment.
  7. Aww man next thing you know you guys will be figuring out the hidden #### in the turtle! But yeah we're aware of the debug LED. It'll most likely be gone in the next batch (most likely just unpopulated). Surprised nobody caught the Easter Egg in the virgin out of the box firmware ;)
  8. What would be a WiFi Pineapple firmware release without a code name vintage movie poster?
  9. wlan0 hosts the AP(s) while wlan1 does sniffing and injection. An optional wlan2 (USB Adapter) may be used for various purposes, such as Client Code / WiFi Tethering. wlan1 is on the vent/SD side of the NANO while wlan0 is on the opposite side. Total output power (EIRP) is calculated by adding txpower (dBm) and antenna gain (dBi). Replacing the stock antennas with your average 5 dBi dipoles will effectively double the output power. 9 dBi antennas, while ridiculous looking, will result in a 5x increase over stock. Just for fun here's a comparison:
  10. Client mode with most common adapters is fixed in 1.0.2. The issue you're having with the ALFA at bootup has to do with the timing of device enumeration -- which is also fixed in the next firmware. Power wise 1.5 amps is sufficient. Heat wise it's rated to 110 C / 230 F -- so while it'll feel warm it's within tolerances. Just as soon we we get both NANO and TETRA out of dev phases with official launch we'll have adapters and other various accessories available al la carte,
  11. Is it getting hotter than 110 C / 230 F? If so -- that's a problem. Otherwise, not so much. Under normal circumstances indoors it's very unlikely that it would require active cooling. The thermal ratings on these chips are pretty high and the passive cooling of the NANO is designed within the chip tolerances.
  12. That's a bug fixed in 1.0.2 -- which should come out tomorrow.
  13. I think the concern may be if a connected target joins the network then for some reasons getting curious as to what might be hosted on port 1471 of the gateway. -- ya know, like your average users tend to do, right? That edge case aside, I'd say given the creativity of the community as illustrated above, this may be an opportunity for a fun module. Also -- I like your CSS Havenbreaker! One of the initial dream features has been a dark "1337 mode" (for night time use) but we keep pushing it back as it's rather low priority. It seems you've already taken a pretty good stab at it :)
  14. Looking at the Trello board of backlog features to be implemented, our timeline for 1.0.2 and what's already been done I'd say this will likely need to come in 1.0.3. It's a matter Seb and I have discussed at length and we're determined to make the feature as user friendly as possible. That said - it isn't implemented yet. There's most likely a hack that you can use to get it going. Will hit up Seb for that info when he wakes up.
  15. Boo51799 - Once you've learned all about tcpdump (and wireshark) check out ngrep! It's like grep, but for packets :) http://www.amitnepal.com/using-ngrep-to-capture-network-activity/ http://www.stearns.org/doc/ngrep-intro.current.html http://wroot.org/posts/quick-and-dirty-ngrep-credential-usernamepassword-sniffer/ Might I also recommend this HakTip series on Wireshark: :)
  16. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at prettying it up. Seems like something a few people would enjoy -- myself included.
  17. Ok I have to stop going down the ITS rabbit hole. For no reason what so ever I now want a side fire microwave and doppler radar... This is my new favorite hack: http://blog.slndrtech.com/huggies-uber-amazon-and-its/ Thanks for sharing Telot!
  18. Telot - I'm in love with your birdhouse. Thanks for reminding me of this! Going to have to revisit that now that we have even smaller hardware :) Here's the "experiment8021104" app. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1kHHuoTR841cENJUEZJYXQwNE42bkpRa3YwLWVWQm9JSFI0/view?usp=sharing It'll install on the nano the usual way. It only takes one parameter -- a monitor interface. By default that'll be wlan1mon on the nano. Outputs two columns -- unix epoch timestamp and MAC. Pipe it to whatever. Works extremely well.
