highly unlikely. i have a fat 1gb usb stick and it pisses me off, only fits in ports at back of machine! skinny is better.

haha ok thanks m8, thought as much. i'm only working on this system while i wait for rma n stuff for my main system. i'll just bung a celeron in it, not too much damage to the bank account! my main machine.... worked for a few days, then kept BSODing (at windows driver loading) with no error messages only codes that related to paging and irql... whatever that is. everyone i asked said it was probably the mobo, so i'm returning it. any comments on that? umn, this may seem a silly question, but here goes. building a pc. cpu fan spins, but theres no video output. so im thinking a problem with graphics card or processor. i did basically own my processor yesterday, dont ask, but i straightened up the pins and it fit. question is... if my cpu was fucked, could i still get video output?

well look, with the side off it doesnt work, with the side on it does work. go figure.

er well.... i was using my pc as normal... didnt install anything new, shut down fine... later that day i went to turn it on and i got a bsod error x07, tried safe mode, got another error, tried last working settings, got a different error... went through about 20 reboots and 6 different errors, then i realised if i select safe mode with command prompt, let it bsod, then reboot, windows starts fine. same happened just now, once again selecting safe mode with command prompt then rebooting allowed windows to start. but i'm wondering why... and what i can do to help prevent future errors. i'm just about to start dissertation and this has made me paranoid about backups. all comments welcome.

i've got a core 2 duo 6300 and a asus p5w dh deluxe... not overclocked at all... and they get pretty damn hot. expect an 80 core processor to come with some extreme new cooling technology!

well it's all built and working fine. had a little overheating problem, just turned the fans up to medium. all is good, thanks for your help. if anything i think the machine is too high spec for what i do with it, but oh well :)

i got a sony vaio b3vp about a year ago, very happy with it.

firefox, zonealarm, avg, remove windows messenger, messenger live, office, windows update.... still doing windows update lol, it's taken most of the day :) still do to... office update, visio, ftp, java, octaga... whatever else i think of... browsers, extensions....

there's only 25, and more get added each day, so i've just stopped.

doesnt it only last about 6 months tho?
