  1. Okay, thank you for the help. I'm having another problem with DBAN. I have it set up like everyone else... title DBAN kernel /memdisk initrd /dban.img but when I go to boot it, it starts booting, but then it tells me that dban no longer supports booting directly from a floppy image.
  2. Yeah, that's what I figured. I just did what you said (remove and then reinstall) and it worked perfectly! My only question, is how I can boot ubuntu without the ISO, as in, I want to do a persistent install. Do you have the menu.lst info to do that? Thank You
  3. I'm reformatting and reinstalling grub now. I just had a quick question, I had to use an unofficial version of PeToUSB so I could format and not get the Error[11]. here is the software.... http://ezyuzin.livejournal.com/2729.html and I found the information in this thread... http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?showtopic...mp;#entry152973 I'm not sure if that could be a cause of my problems or not. It formats it in NTFS, but I just formatted it to FAT32 after.
  4. Thank you for the reply, but when I tried that code, it gave me the same error 60.
  5. I ran the contig.exe on the drive using this... http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?showtopic...buntu&st=20 It said it was working on the ubuntu ISO when I ran it, but I'm still having the problem.
  6. Hi, I'm trying to get Ubuntu 9.10 working for my multipass. I was having the BT4 problem before, and I followed the guide in this thread (http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?showtopic=15455). Once I changed the information to get backtrack 4 working in the menu.lst, I added the code in that thread for Ubuntu. I followed the intructions to just put the ISO in the folder, "bootUbuntu". The directories are all correct, but when I go to boot ubuntu, it gives me this error, Error 60: File for drive emulation must be in one contiguous disk area. I understand the concept of a contiguous disk. I'm not sure if i'm missing any files or not, because the BT4 casper file is in the root directory, and other than that, the only other ubuntu file I have is the 9.10 ISO. Thank You for the help -cory ps. I've read that I need to use contig.exe. I'm not really sure how to use it, also I'm confused about what it's going to do. It's suppose to make a contiguous iso, but It says it's a defragmentation program?
